force of frition blog

Article posted May 15, 2012 at 03:11 PM GMT • comment • Reads 808

What I learned in 6.1 is that when you pull the block across the table top it will in my studies it will go from. 6. To .7 to. 6 to. 5.
I learned that the fiction force throught the 5 services the friction force will range from .5 to 1.6. Before this studies I didn't know anything about friction force now I know a ton about it. I also learned in 6.2 I learned that when you put motl more weight on. The block suzchs as add 1 block u get 2 blocks. Well I learned that. When u add more force the friction force. increases. How we measured sliding friction is we hooked the block up 2 a scale and pulled it 27 cm and we put down what forced it used to pull it along that surface. I didn't really learn Anything about controlled variables. But how I. I controllled the variables is I made sure that the. Speed was the same and the distance pulled.

My definition of force.

Article posted April 25, 2012 at 03:28 PM GMT • comment • Reads 1097

It's a way to move an object. Or something for example force is like two people pulling a bag that's a force called pull. You can take the rubber band and put it on a price of board and make it into a catapult. Weight is pounds and newtons. And mass equals grams or kg.

Energy

Article posted April 12, 2012 at 03:34 PM GMT • comment • Reads 1002

I learned that in 1930s we used less energy then we do now. The average home in the 30s used 2 pounds of carbon dioxide, the average home now uses 92 pounds of cd. Each gallon of gas a car uses 172 pounds of cd in 2010,in 30s each gallon of gas the cars used 20 pounds of cd. In the 30s trees absorbed one ton over there lifetime it's the same for 2010. Insulation is used 2 conserve energy inside structures by reducing tempature changes. I learned that how you be safe with electricity, you can do many things wrong, like you can place a object on top of a electrical cord, cause doing that you can damage the cords.also I learned that if u dangle something over a lamp u can cause a fire, and dont pull things by a power cord, just dangerous.

What I know about batteries

Article posted April 10, 2012 at 03:04 PM GMT • comment • Reads 1107

I know that with rechargeable batteries you need to recharge them like every day cause to make them stay on longer you need to charge them longer. With regular batteries you have to replace them like every 2weeks or so.

What I learned

Article posted March 30, 2012 at 04:06 PM GMT • comment • Reads 1019

I learned that 2 make a homemade battery generally needs Copper sulfate solution and copper and zinc strips. I also learned that a chemical reaction will go and then they will charde. I also learned that when you charge the batteries for a longer time you will have it stay on longer. Thats pretty much what I learned

I like where I live. It is a small town it only has 1 restruant and we only have a small little general store. And the closest grocery store is in shelton about an hour away. I go to chimacum and I live in Brinnon wa. Its a long way up to chimacum. My favorite thing about brinnon is the general store because a couple of my family members work there and i like to visit them. Its a small town but its home.

Tree planting

Article posted January 27, 2012 at 04:29 PM GMT • comment • Reads 1104

I had so much fun tree planting. I dug part of the time and kyle dug the other part. I got pretty dirty and we had torts dad help us with planting. We planted 32 trees in one hour. That is fast. We planted the trees at snow creek. and we even got to see the actuall creek. There was a brIdge across two parts of the river so we could get to the site to plant trees. One was wood and the other one was metal because the part of the creek we were going across was deep and fast. And cold but it was hot so I didnt mind the coldness. It was great to help the creek.https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-tu2KtQD96OE/TyW99nG-YwI/AAAAAAAAA3E/d4RM3r044fk/s0-d/IMG_2190.JPG

Water cycle

Article posted November 22, 2011 at 04:08 PM GMT • comment • Reads 1923

The water cycle is very important to us. Here is a game to help you. Http://scratch.MIT.edu/projects/kathod39/2166506">Scratch Game.
Precipitation is sleet rain snow or hail. Evaporation is water vapor this happens whenever it gets really hot.
Transpiration is when plants sweat, sounds weird right. Well they sort of sweat, the water evaporates and turns into water vapor. Condensation is when water vapor in the air condenses from a gas back into liquid form and returns to the earths atmosphere. Here is a gamehttp://www.doink.com/ipad/clip/gdnK3YLRZM0

this is an alderfly. you will see that it losts its leg and it is floating in the water next to it. alderflies are somewhat pollution tolerant. Now here is a challenge. there will be a picture and you will have 2 guess what the bugs are and comment to tell
me.Our creek score is 21. wich means that our creek is doing really good
and isnt very polluted. here iS some more pictures.
scuds are in the tolerant to pollution group. this is a scud not very nice looking? it is in the family of shrimp. here is an alderfly that lost most of its legs so here it is Yellow jacket creek at cispus got 25 points and that means it isnt very polluted. so that means that yellow jacket creek and chimacum creek arent polluted so that is good.

Water pollution help!

Article posted October 17, 2011 at 04:22 PM GMT • comment • Reads 2007

:Water pollution is polluted whenever contaminates are found. It is also polluted whenever there is sludge or sewage or garbage in the water ad factory spills.
:http://scipeeps.com/effects-of-water-pollution/" water pollution doesn't just effect the enviroment but also animals and humans it makes a lot of our drinking water not drinkable.and it makes people sick if they drink it or even get a little bit on there body."http://www.water-pollution.org.uk/industrialtreatment.html " industrial water treatment. The first phase is the primary phase. This phase removes some of the suspended solid particles and inorganic metals by the filters removing them. The secondary phase of te treatment involves the reducment of organic, this is done with the use of biological filters and processes that naturally degrades the organic waste mater. The tertiary phase is where most of the solid particles are extracted from the water and chemical additives are supplied to get rid of any left over impurities.

Do's and don'ts
Do turn water off when not in use. This cuts down on water shortages
Don't throw garbage down the toilet, such as toiletries.
Don't over use pesticides and fertilizers. This will prevent chemicals from going into the water.
Don't Liter into lakes and rivers and oceans. If you see litter anywhere pick it up.

is Mount st. helens gonna rebuild

Article posted October 3, 2011 at 04:27 PM GMT • comment • Reads 2233

I think mount st. helens will rebuild, but i dont think it will rebuild itself to look exactly the same as it did before the 1980 eruption. Because it is rebuild over the days and it grows an inch everyday. Thats 30 feet in anĀ  year and 300 feet every 10 years.
