force friction

1. 6.1 I learned that theres more friction if you pull the block across fine sandpaper rather than coarse sandpaper. 6.2 I learned that coarse sandpaper does go up steady with 2 or 3 blocks. 6.3 I learned that there is more friction when theres more wieght in one spot.
2. We measured by taking a spring scale hooking it up to the block and pulling it 27 cent.Then we measure what the spring scale reads and we do three trials and then get the average.This is measuring friction force.
3. We kept the surface Type the same because if we changed two variables we would have innacurate data.

1. I learned that we use almost 4 times as much energy from houses than we did back then . I also learned that cars back then only let out 10 pounds of C02.
2.By keeping us warm so we don’t have to use the thermostat as much!
3.To not put stuff on top of chords and to not to fly a kite near power chords and poles.

First the electrical energy goes into the battery from the wall plugin to the charger and from the charger to the battery.Then when it enters the battery it transforms into Stored Chemical Energy.Then when you attach it to the bulb it transforms again!When the electrical energy travels through the wires and reaches the bulb it turns into........ LIGHT AND HEAT ENERGY YAY!!!Then it repeats the steps.

With the blotter paper in the middle it seperates the metal from touching.And then the metal on both sides makes the two metals that you need to make a batteries and then when you put it in the solution it lights and circuits:)

The D.O. for the past ten years has been very Good:)It makes me feel good that the fish that I eat were healthy and could breath before I came to catch'em.I learned that D.O. is the air that the fish breath.D.O. is made by the water and the Oxygen in the air making contact,then the air dissolves and the oxygen gets sucked into the water and the fish breathe it!

On thursday I got to go tree planting with the people from help the salmon associacain poeples and i had a good time.Me and 2 friends planted 32 trees now thats just us three how about everyone else.I just want to say a big thanks to everyone that attended and participated thank you and have a good time!!

One day my sister asks me to use my ds.I asked why and she said I'm gonna battle my math teacher.Dumbfound I said battle your math teacher? Yes battle my math teacher to get extra credit and I just started cracking up my sister battled her math teacher and got 30 points extra credit!

 This is a giant scud.Scuds are only worth two points on the paper because they are tolerant to water pollution.It turns out Chimicum Creek got a score of 21!The picture below shows how we did it.
 Heres how it works.First we took bugs from Chimicum creek.And then we put them under a microscope an take pics.Then we identify them.And if they are very intolerent then they are worth 4 points.If they are intolerent they are worth 3 points.If they are tolerent they are worth 2 points.If they are very tolerent they are only worth one.We came up with 21 points thats a high score.Thats good! Now if you compare Chimicum creek to Yellow Jacket creek Yellow Jacket creek won.They got 25 and we got 21.

Today we are gonna talk about Water Pollution and how its caused.A lot of the time its caused by stuff getting in our water.You are going to read about five different topics.What is water pollution?What are sources of water pollution?What are consequences of water pollution?What can be done to improve water after polluted? and What actions we can take to prevent water pollution?Anyway lets get started.
What is water pollution?
Water pollution is where people and farmers get too clost to the creek with thier fertilizer and it all falls in. People a lot of the time go for walks and they bring food or drinks. A lot of the time they just drop the trash and when it rains it falls in the water. And thats preety much what water pollution is.
What are scources of water pollution?
some scources of water pollution are oil spills.In fact there is a recent oil spill from the 13th of Octobor off the coast of Tarunga in New Zealand.It dropped up to 350 tons of oil and continues to leake.Another old one was the Gulf of Mexico it was a really bad one its even still effecting us.And thats a scource of water pollution.
What are consequences of water pollution?
One of the main consequences is hundreds to thousands of fish and birds dying.Weither its from plastic or from oil we still have a big loss every year.We dont just have animals die,Hmans die too.According to study 14,000 people die of waterborne diseases every day!!!Thats a lot of people.
What can be done to improve water after polluted?People could get in thier boat and go pick out trash from the water.And people withought boats can pick off the trash on shore. And the government people can go filter the water and save the animals.Thats what can be done to improve the water after polluted.
what can we do to prevent water pollution?If are test comes up bad then we could tell are parents to tell thier friends to tell thier friends to make sure that they arent polluting the water.We can tell them to not leave the trash on the ground.Fix thier car or dirt bike if it has an oil leake.And hopefully are tests are good!

I think Mt.St.Helens will in time go back to normal because it has already started.It keeps building itself up and up until one day it all of a sudden is back to normal.One day Mt.St.Helens will be normal!
