We have three 6th grade Science classes and two 8th grade Science classes blogging here from the Pacific Northwest in Chimacum, WA! Sixth graders are learning a bit about Mt Saint Helens, environmental science through fresh water ecology, and physical science this year. Eighth graders are learning about life science this year. Conditions of Use


Friction and such I have learned that friction can affect how a object moves. It can ether make it go faster or slower. Although the weight never changes friction gives the elution that an object is heavier or lighter.
We measured sliding friction by useing the spring scale to measure the friction force in newtons. You hook the scale to the hook on the block and then pull across surface.
Ummmm...well I didn't really learn any thing about controlled variables for I already know what you speak of was. I learned of such things in 5th grade.a controlled variable is a variable that chould be changed but is kept consistent through all triales and experiments .
