Water cycle

Evaporation

Heat from the sun turns ice and other water sources into water vapor. when it rains 80% of the water turned into water vapor and comes back down.

water vapor

water in the form of gas is called water vapor and stays in the air and clouds until it rains. water makes drops by consending and then we get clouds. then the drops get big and we have precipitation or rain.

Precipitation

Precipitation is also called rain, slush, hail and snow. different places have different levels of precipitation (inches) . Most precipitation evaperats and transpires and the water never reaches the lakes or other water sources.

Transportation

Transportation is like when plants sweat the sweat comes through their leaves and it goes into the air and beacomes water vapor. the water vapor comes out to the pores in the leaves. after it is in the air it collects and then it rains.

Condensation

Condensation is when water vapor condsend into liquid and it forms drops. the drops get bigger and bigger until it rains.

Energy

Sunshine makes water warm and then it makes steam and then it makes condensation in the clouds and then it rains. When water wings in the ocean the water evaporates from energy( the sun )and salt gets left behind.

Groundwater

Groundwater is water in and on top of the ground , it's usually from a larger water source. If groundwater is under the ground the water becomes muddy and can become contaminated with fertilizer, plant killer and other chemicals. Groundwater moves from pressure by other water sources and gravity.
