I know that for batteries to work it needs a complete energy circuit. They power most electronic things. Some can be recharged and some can't. I'd like to learn how to make a battery and how they can transfer energy from natural things to electricity.

i know that batteries hold electricity.

they can power a lot of divices.

all batteries have a negitive and a positive side.

i want to know how they put electricity in batteries?

how long each brand of batteries can last?

and what is in the batteries

i also want to know what is in the batteries?

In science we learned about energy and batteries. We also learned what happens when you charge a battery and when you put batteries in things like TV remotes. When you charge a battery electrical energy comes from the outlet in the wall and into the charger. But when it goes into the charger it turnes into stored chemical energy then goes into the battery. When you plug a battery into something the stored chemical energy from the battery turns into electrical energy and goes through the wires and into the thing you are powering and turns it on.

CONCLUSION=http://

L~I learned that the energy inside of a battery is called stored energy..i also learned that if you charge a battery for like 30 seconds,it will probably only last for like 15 seconds......We created a chart and the class averages are::::::::::

18 seconds for a charging time of 30 seconds..

35 seconds for a charging time of 60 seconds...

66 seconds for a charging time of 120 seconds

178 seconds for a charging time of 240 seconds.....

I know some stuff about batteries. I know that they have acid, the acid is corrosive, batteries need metal, you can make batteries out of food. I want to know the cycle of the energy and the other types of energy. I learned that there are many types of energy (Mechanical energy, Light energy, Heat energy, Stored chemical energy and Electrical energy). I learned that Carbon Dioxide is what comes out of energy.

K. I know that batteries are rechageable, can be really big enough for cars, smaller than a dime for hearing aids, and has to be a compleate curcit in order to work.

W. what I want to to learn is why there is a positive and negitive sides, why do they die, and why are some batteries rechargeable.

L. And I learned that the shorter you charge them the shorter it last and the longer you charge them the longer it last.

I KNOW THAT

==========

I know that batteries store energy.

I know that batteries have acid.

I know that batteries have to elecrical flow points.

I know that batteries have limited charge.

I know that some batteries can recharge and some cant.

WHAT I WANT TO KNOW

===================

I want to know how batteries store Electrical Energy (E.E.).

WHAT I LEARNED

==============

I learned that when a batteries is plugged in to charge the lectrical energy travels along the wire and changes into stored chemical energy which, in a different complate circut turns back into energy, and depending on what it is powering turns into light and heat, or mechanical energy.

That batteries work by the wire and the battery going into the charger and the electricricityn and transforms into electrical energy and goes onto the wire and into the output and the steps just keeps repeating over and over and over and goes on and on.After that has occurred then you would have to wait until your battery is fully charged then here is a little hint then if you want your battery to last longer well then you have to keep it on the charger want to know more well here is the knowledge You have been waiting for first the battery,s electricity turns into electrical energy whenever it comes into the output then the electrical energy turns into stored chemical energy and then you put the battery onto the light bulb and the light bulb will actually work.

What i learned from lesson 2 is blotter paper and zinc and copper with a rubber band and a clear plastic contaIner a grain of wheat light bulb with wires on zinc and copper strip(with medal Touching the zinc and copper strips) have masking tape to stick the wires on the zinc and copper. Make sure you have copper sulfate solution paper towles to see if it will work out of copper sulfate solution and you have a battery. What i learned from lesson 3 is take a d-cell battery a d-cell battery holder a miniature lightbulb a miniature lightbulb holder a stopwacth a electric motor with wire leads and alligator clips a red insulated connectoor wire with alligator clips put them toghether and see how long the light last's what i learned from lesson 4 is have a battery charger for your group or youself have 2 d-cell batterys a flashlight a stop watch then put toghether and see how long the light last's.

What i want to know

1.when they were made

2.how many are made in the usa

What i know

1. Batterys make power

2. The voltag word used around batterys came from the inventere

A. Made a batterybit was fun and the light lit up

B. Paper stip, zinc srip, copper stip, rubber band, small light bulb , copper sulfat solution, masking tape

C. They kinda got burnt lookiing

D. The light went out but when you put it back in mine lit up agian

What i learned

To have a battery you need 2 elactrods and 1 elactrolyte

i think it is better to use class averges because each battery vairies how long it lasts

I only know a few things about batteries, and here they are.

1. If you put the end of a 9 volt battery on your tonge it will shock you

2. It contains battery acid and copper

3. If you break a battery open and it gets on your skin, it will burn your skin.

4. They can be so small that they can sit on a dime, and so big they can power a car.

5. They are used for most modern day electronics

6. Some are rechargable!

What I would like to know about batteries.

How do they work?

When was the first one made?

How big is the worlds biggest battery?

Who discovered how to make batteries?

How do you make them?

What I learned about batteries.

1. How to make batteries

2. Who invented batteries

3. How long a battery would stay on based on different charging times

4. That copper sulfate solution is EXTREMALLY toxic (WARNING: do not drink)

5. How to make car batteries...See Serenity's blog

6. When the first battery was made

7. How big the biggest battery ever was

8. We use more energy now than in the 1930's (they used aprox. 1.4 killowats a day!)

9. Batteries can be super small but still generate a lot of electricity

10. How energy changes as it goes from the charger into the battery into the device the battery is powering (electrical energy, stored chemical energy, electrical energy, light + heat energy or mechanical energy.)

dis is what i learned.

what i learned is that batteries are unreliable and cannot be trusted. you know why? because everybody elses batteries charges for the exact same time, and then THIER flashlights stay on for stuff like 80 seconds, AND THEN YOURS STAYS ON FOR SEVEN SECONDS. DISGRACEFUL. and then you get so mad and then you want to kill it.

and that is what i learned.

hahahahahahahahahahahaha fooled you! thats not all that i learned! i learned that the longer you charged the battery, the longer it stays on! THAT is AMAZING! and also i learned that we normally use dry-cell batteries for stuff like flashlights. and that it has something acid-y called electrolyte solution and you get a copper rod in it too. also zinc. and thats about it!

we worked on charging batterys. when you connect

the batterys to the charger the energy leaves the

charger and goes to the battery. then when you

connect the battery to the light then the energy

leaves the battery and powers the light. then

the energy leaves it all and disapears from

everything.

K Batteries are a force of energy and electricity. Batteries can create a full circuit by connecting batteries to light bulbs. The energy passes through the wires that connect the batteries to the light bulbs. There is a negative force and a positive force to each battery.

W What makes energy flow through the battery? What makes batteries have energy inside them? How do batteries get the negative and positive forces?

L. I learned how to make a battery with 2 peices of metal, a grain of wheat light bulb attached to wires, and copper sulfate solution. I also learned the general names of the important parts of a battery. The metals are the electrodes. The batery acid is the electrolyte. I also learned the battery cycle for charged batteries. You can see my blog titled Charging a Battery. I learned about how different charging times effect the length that a battery stays on. The longer a battery absorbs energy, the longer a battery will produce energy.
