Veterans Day
Veteran’s day is observed on November 11. It was first named Armistice Day. It honors people in the military. My dad and uncle are in the military. My dad is in the Coast Guard and my uncle is in the Navy. Also my history teacher Mr. Gallagher is in the Army.
The Tomb of Unknowns is a grave where some soldiers who died in battle and could never be identified are buried.
The colors of the flag stand for the four points of the compass. The poem “Freedom Isn’t Free” means that you have to fight for your freedom and it takes hard work.
