SUMMER!<3 ITS FINALLY HERE! I'm sooo excited to get out of school and sleep in, Not do any work, hang out with my friends EVERY SINGLE DAY! I'm supperrrr dupperrr excited because i'm going to spokane to play Basketball! And then in July im going to california and getting back in August! Im gone for ma whole month!Without my parents/siblings i'm going to stay with my aunt:)Then the day after i get back from Cali im going to Sun Lakes!WAKEBOARD IT UPP!!! Then my Birthday after Sun Lakes! This Summer will be the best of all!<3

The reason i wrote this is because, we are doing an experiment with all these things in science! The experiment is to see how many washers a motor/pulley can pull up! My groups motor/pulley pulled up 9 washers! Do you think it could pull up more than 9??

Controlled variables are measured by,
How far we pulled the blocks
How fast we pulled the blocks
The surface type
Manipulated variables are measured by

Weight
Surface area I learned that different surface types make more/less friction, they don't all have the same friction measurement.
I learned that the more weight on a surface type will make more friction because it is heavier.
I learned that if you put more surface area on a surface type the friction stays almost same!
When you pull a block across why does it measure friction?
It measures friction because when you pull a block across a surface area the friction goes the opposite way!

I think we should be aloud to text in class when we have nothing else to do instead of just sitting there! I think this because most teachers let us listen to music, but then they say we can't use our phones! I don't think phones are any more distracting then an iPod because you can still txt on an iPod and listen to music! If anything iPods are more distracting then phones(now im not saying to take away or iPod privilages!) If there was a time when some one had there phone out when they weren't supposed to the teachers could just take it away or tell them to put it away! Its that simple! Thats why i think we should be able to have phones in class!:)

I learned that rubber bands are really stretchy and and strong. Also that gravity pulls down Gothenburg center of the earth! Mass is what something is made of and gravity is how much it weighs.

I learned That we used more energy in 2010 then we did in the 1930's! And that is a lot!! Insalation consevers energy by keeping heat inside of something so you don't have to heat up the house so much. Some things I learned about being safe with energy is that if you don't have it plugged in all the way it is much easier to catch fire. Fuels that put less carbon into our atmosphere is cars, houses, and trees are the best because they take carbon out of the air.

I learned that energy is used for a lot of things!! Energy is used all day! It charges phones, batteries, cars, and much more!! Even if your phone charger car charger(etc.) is plugged in but the other end isn't charging anything energy just runs out and you are wasting energy!!:( that's not good.
