In art class, students learned about the artwork of Spanish Surrealist artist Joan Miro. Students used his artwork as inspiration in creating their own works of art on the computer. They learned how to use the many tools offered in a program called Paint. After they were finished, we had a class critique and discussed the ways our artwork is similar and different from Miro’s. Student’s were interested in seeing how their classmates used the same tools in Paint and were inspired by the same artist and yet each person created such different works of art!
