Why do you think Gonzalo was embarrassed by his father and his uncle?
I think because his dad's english was worst than a kindergartner and his unlce becuase since they moved to the United States he couldn't work. There aren't any plazas here and if you sit on the public some gang driving might use you for target practice. He couldn't understand TV so he wondered around the apartment talking to himself. he speaks indian language.

Gonzalo's uncle. "Juan" was the oldest man in his pueblo but here in the United States he became a little baby.He couldnt understand TV so he wondered around the apartment all day. One day he was standing in front of the vacant lot looking at a man with a shovel. That is when it clicked on him "he wanted to join in" and plant his vegetables. He had knowledge about planting so he did it.
