I have had a great year in grade three. Mrs.Muller has been the best teacher and I have had so much fun! Dear,Mrs Muller,
May we PLEASE have a class set of laptops? Here are the reasons why we should! First because if we can do our work on the computer it probably will not take as long. Also if the laptop that you are working on dosent have a website that you want you could use ours. Finally we would learn more technological skills and not have to go to the computer lab as often. Now are you convinced that we need a class set of laptops?

Do you know what a plesiosaur is? Maggy Horvath operates a huge shovel in northern Alberta's oil sands. She recently dug up the remains of a huge 100 million year old sea creature! The name of the creature is a plesiosaur. Plesiosaurs are predators and it is really rare to find fossils of predators. There are fewer predators than than there are prey. Dan Henderson was thrilled to hear about the find and from the shape of the bones he could tell what kind of animal the dinosaur was. Now do you like sea creatures more than you did before?

Today we watched a french play that was by the grade sixes. Only some of the class was in it but the play was preformed beautifly. When the play was over we played the game called des des it was really close but Oceangirl won Lyndsay came in second place We had alot of fun!!!!

today we learned about perimiter there are many different stategies but the one that I like the most is division. Today our problem was about hersheys chocolat and we could make any shapes that we wanted but the total perimiter that the shape needed to be was 24cm I love perimiter even though it is a bit hard!

Do you like to have scientist in the classroom? Today I had it! First we went in centers.They were the nature center, the dome center, the stability center and the bridge layout trrying center.Also I had alot of fun in the stability center because my dad was in charge. Later on we used newspaper and tape to build a bridge. The reqirements for our bridges were that they had to hold three textbooks, have space for a toy boat to go under and survive an earthquake.

On Friday night my Grandma picked me up from school!! First I helped her set the table for our guest I was very excited. Next the guest arrived I was happy to see him again and to meet his girlfriend. Also we had some cookies for a snack! Finaly have you ever been realy excited to meet someone or to see someone again? I just got a new canopy bed it is blue. I like it mostly because I can pretend that I am a beautiful princess in her royal castle.
Mostly if my mom didn't work at the police I would not have the canopy because I got it for a present at her work Christmas party=http://=http://=http://=http://!!!!

Last night I went to the mall and I went to green earth.While I was at green earth I was looking at the frogs I soon figured out that I had enough money to get one.I chose one with rainbow decorative rocks.Now let me tell you about them you feed them twise a week and change their water three times a month. So if you think pet frogs sound cool head on over to green earth and you will have a frog in no time.

We are in Ottawa right now. It is the capital city of Canada. My dad is working here so the rest of the family came along to hang out together at the hotel. My mom used to work at this hotel and we have lots of friends coming to visit us today. We will go swimming and to the movie theatre next door. My dad used to work at the movie theatre next door so we will get to go to the movie for free. We are going to see Puss in Boots.

On our early settlers trip we learned about all the homes back then. We learned how to make an S hook and we learned the joints that the early settlers would have to make so that they could make their houses. We got to cut two joints in a log. We learned how to knead the bread .We learned about the kinds of stoves they had and on the fireplace stove we learned about the crane and how to work the crane.

I am going to compare 2 patterns I saw on our math trail. Outside on the tarmac we made a number pattern on the hundreds chart and inside we found a rainbow border on a bulletin board in the hall. Now for the comparing part of things, the border on the bulletin board was a colour pattern and it went like this red, orange, yellow, green, blue, purple, red and so on. Now for the hundreds chart pattern, our whole class stood on the numbers to make a counting pattern by fives and the differences between the two is the rainbow border on the bulletin boards attribute is colour and the counting by five pattern on the hundreds charts attribute is shape and the shape is the numbers and the numbers skip count by fives like this 5, 10, 15, 20 and so on so the differences are one is a colour pattern and the other is a shape pattern so there are your two patterns for today!
