Multiple Perspectives

People get their perspectives many ways. Some people get their perspectives from their parents and their surroundings. Also people get their perspectives from their experiences. I like the school UCB because my mom went there.
I think it is a good idea to have multiple perspectives. I think so because if you like the Packers in football and the Thunder in basketball. That is good because the Packers aren’t a basketball team. That is having multiple perspectives.
If the world had the same perspective it would be different. There would be no wars, assaults, and no protests. Also there would be no fights, arguments, and no bullying. I also think it is good the world has multiple perspectives because an argument is good once in a while.

Facts about Old Sacramento

There are many interesting facts about old Sacramento. In 1850, Sacramento had a flood caused by the Sacramento River. When the water reached the city, the citizens had no way to stop it. After the flood it, took a long time to rebuild the city. A few years later a fire wiped out every building except one, the Lady Adams Building. The building survived because it was built of bricks, the roof was iron and sand, and it had iron shutters. When the Pony Express was in business, Sacramento was the end of the mail route. The Pony Express was a mail company that was in business in the 1800’s for 18 months. Sacramento was also where the Transcontinental Railroad ended or began. Sacramento helped connect the East with West.

the Terrible Wave Descriptive Writing

I think Marden Dahlstedt wrote The Terrible Wave very descriptively. She tries to paint a picture in the reader’s mind. In every chapter there is something descriptive. Like on page 34, “ … and they saw the whole thing dissolve slowly … into the darkening water…”It’s very descriptive because some people thought the mattress really dissolved, but it actually sunk. In most chapters she describes the terrible wave very well. I wrote my quotes because they are descriptive and intesting. Marden Dahlstedt is a very good writer. She also wrote The Terrible Wave very well. I think Marden Dahlstedt wrote The Terrible Wave very descriptively. She tries to paint a picture in the reader’s mind. The most important thing in California’s history was when the Bear Flag Revolt and war with Mexico happened. It was important because it helped gain California for the United States.
The war with Mexico was important. It was important because the Americans won the war and paid $15 million for 525,000 square miles of the land that was owned by the Mexicans. That is about 4 cents an acre and $28 a square mile. That’s how the United States gained four states.
The Bear Flag Revolt was interesting. It was because 30 rebels were encouraged by John C. Fremont to arrest Marino Guadalupe Vallejo. When the rebels went to Vallejo’s house he answered the door and invited a few of the rebels inside. One by one, Vallejo invited the rebels in. When he invited the rebels, they had refreshments, but then the rebels arrested Vallejo.
The Bear Flag Revolt was important and the war with Mexico was also . They were important because it helped the United States gain California.
