The Most Important Thing
I think the most important part of California’s history from what we’ve read is the crossing of the land bridge by Native Asians 40,000 years ago. This was the most important part because it allowed California to be discovered and settled. If the crossing of the land bridge never happened, California and many other places never would have been settled.
The Native Asians crossed the land bridge because they were following food like deer and elk. Many generations of Native Asians kept following the food. They eventually got to what is now California and the land around it. Over time, Native Americans then realized they could stop moving and chasing the food and find another way to get nourished. They then figured out how to farm. This eventually led to California being the best agricultural country in the United States. The Native Americans then settled and created villages. They were undisturbed for a long time until the Spanish explorers tried to find a safe bay for ships.
The crossing of the land bridge was extremely important in California’s and the whole United States’s history. This was important because it started the settlement of California. It also started farming and villages. Many Californian citizens might be living in Asia if the land bridge hadn’t been crossed.
