Hopes and dreams narrative
Hey do you want to hear my hopes and dreams ? ….. ok so here are some of my hopes and dreams this year and how I have achieved them. And how I have been successful with them
One of my goals was to read 30 books which I have read 40 books and counting.
Another goal was to get better in long division which I did . I learned an easy way to do really long division and more multiplication and other math facts.
Another goal was to get good grades which I have I have had a good A and B streak for the hole year. By doing homework at home and reading at home.
My last goal was to become friends with everyone in the class which I have kind of just a few of them are not my friends but mostly all of them
And that is how I have achieved my hopes and dreams

Why Recess and lunch need to be longer.
Recess and lunch need to be longer, I think. Do you?
First, is because we need at least I hour of exercise or more a day to keep us healthy. Exercise helps us learn and that helps us because we can be better educated.
Next, is that recess and lunch are some of the only times to socialize with kids from other classes and we need that because it helps us have a better relationship with others.
Also, outside time is good because we can use all our energy, have fun with friends and have a good time when exercising.
Another reason recess and lunch need to be longer is because in America we have food and some countries don’t. Sometimes we waste food and then that won’t be good for us and for people in other countries because that creates less food for everyone.
In conclusion, I think we need longer recess and lunches because we will get more exercise, more social time, and less wasting of food. I hope you think so too.
Thank you,
Nate Specht

Ok so over winter break I had a sleep over at Davis’s house with Jackson, Davis and eventually Gabe. So what we did was well we played on our IPod touches for awhile watching YouTube we also played an all-star game with Davis’s brother, Grant. Then we went to the YMCA and meet Gabe there and we all played basketball. Everyone but Gabe played an all on all game and Davis won 7- 4 -2. Then we went to McDonalds and all of us got Big Macs and fries and they were especially good because we just got done playing basketball. Then we all went home and had our Big Macs then we went up to Davis’s room and traded basketball cards. Davis started me up by giving me free cards like Lebron James and other players. After that we did a dunk contest on Davis’s nerf hoop. After that we did more stuff on our IPod touch’s.
The next day we woke up and had pancakes and bacon. Then we went to Hawks Ridge and tried to find a snowboarding hill. We found two hills that we snowboarded down then we went to this observing place and saw the city of Duluth. After that we snowboarded some more to the cars. Davis’s dad took us home to our houses. And that was one of the things I did over winter break.

The Portion Plate

Hello I am going to tell you about the potion plate first you must learn portion control. ok so ¼ of your plate should be grains about the size of a CD . also ¼ or less should be lean meat or protean about the size of a box of 8 crayons ½ of your plate should be fruits the size of a yoyo and veggies the size of a tennis ball you should eat a variety of foods not just steak but like ham you should also drink lots of water about 8 oz glasses to keep hydrated try to also get 60 minutes of exercise a day do you get 60 minutes of exercise a day? I do. Every morning you should get breakfast to get yourself ready for the day try to have no sugar drinks but drink milk or water instead try a 100% fruit juice. And you should almost have no sugar drinks but milk or water. To avoid fat skip or limit the amount of chesses order grilled chicken instead of breaded and fried and skip the fruit pie and have a low fat yogurt. You should always eat right to learn better to be better and play better and do better every day.

Today we went to Hartley Nature Center. We went to different many stations we went to one it was on trees and how to identify them like the pine. We went to a guy and he told us that if you stick a nail in a tree at the bottom it will not grow higher with the tree because the bottom only grows fatter the top is the only part that grows taller. Then we went to a guy he taught us how to cut wood. He had a big saw it cut a big log it was very cool. At another we learned about clay and sand and silt and what they feel like and what it looks like and how you can make stuff with it. Then we went to lunch! I had a ham sandwich and a banana and some chips. Then we went to a station about wild life we found out that a moose antler is very heavy we also saw a fox scull and a beaver pelt and a fisher pelt it was cool. We also went to a station where we sat in the woods and just absorbed nature we saw mushrooms and worms and many more awesome things then we wrote it down and shared when we got back. We also went to the center and looked at the animals and the stuffed we also saw a butterfly in a chaconne it was very cool. Then it was time to go home it was not fun it was very bumpy but ok when we got back we shared about what we saw. I want to do it again.
