Sleeping Not So Beautiful part 5
I was woken what seemed like only five minutes later to see Camilla standing over me holding my phone, tears streaming down her face. When she saw me awake, she squealed with delight. I still think she sounded a bit like a pig when she did that.
“Oh Alia,” she said starting to sob. “I was sure I could never wake you up. I thought you might have gotten 100 apps and fallen asleep. My tech-guy noticed one app still loading, and as fast as he could he deleted it. I thought I lost you forever.” And she started to sob again.
I quickly sat up and tried to comfort Camilla. Comforting sobbing former super models was not one of my strong points.
“It’s okay,” I said in what I hoped was a soothing soft voice. Now I guess it came out in more of a croak.
Camilla laughed through her tears, something I could never imagine doing. She must have been so popular as a super model, always looking on the bright side of things. Her crying stopped and she hugged me tight. I was thinking about telling her that she might strangle me one of these days, but she let go at the right moment so I was okay.
“Oh, I don’t know what I would of done if I couldn’t wake you up,” Camilla said. Then she started to cry again. Oh shoot, I couldn’t let her sob her heart out over me.
“Well,” I said. “If you think my grandma was right about my prophecy, then the only way to wake me up is if a young man figures out my pass code. I haven’t set a pass code, but I won’t. Then the guy will only have to be smart enough to be able to unlock a smart phone. If you find a suitable guy that’s smart, all you will have to do is invite him to the house and if I go over my limit you can have him unlock my phone then he can go home and I can buy as many apps as I want and can live with you forever. It’s pretty simple.”
Camilla gave me another one of her bear hugs.
“Oh when I adopted you I knew you were pretty but I didn’t know you were a genius!”
Look for part 6!
