Inspired by~ Abbie Amundsen
Once upon a time, there was a princess who lived in a tower. Her name was Abbigael. Abbigael had beautiful luscious dark blonde hair that was nearly past her ankles; allot like Repunzels, but obviously shorter. Abbigael loved to read and write. And fortunately, for Abbigael, the tower she lived in had an enormous library and a fairly good sized study as well. She had ten good sized notebooks filled with different poems, songs, plays, stories, and what have you. All of which, were hidden away in her study. She read more than a bookworm, she mostly read about far away places, like the Giza Plato in Egypt, the tasmia hall, and the Eiffel tower. She wrote about these, as well.
Abbigael absolutely, without a doubt, adored animals. She had four rather unusual pets, well, three I guess. One’s not that unusual; she had a pet hamster named Hamtaro, a Bengal tiger named sweetie, her beloved pet great horned owl named Hannah, and a duck named Rachel.(I know, not the most common names for animals, but, with a story with a title called “Uhh”, it’s kind of hard not to expect that, but at the same time, it’s kind of hard to expect that but, the person that inspired this story isn’t exactly usual, so to speak, but different in a good way. See, this is why my stories don’t make sense, I trail of in parenthesis, and I’ll probably do this again in something else I write. So brace yourself.)
Hmm….you know, this story actually looked a lot longer on the paper I wrote it on. Oh well.
Just FYI, Hannah and Rachel are real people, and Abbie is actually their best friend.

A NOTE TO THE PEOPLE
This essay was not only written to meet the request of the state, but to inform the people of the world, about child obesity, and what is recommended for a healthy portion plate-enjoy. Yours truly, Niimii Eagle.
THE REAL ESSAY
Facts
A few reasons why it’s best to keep a healthy portion plate are to try to keep the percentage of obese children (and adults) from rising from what it already is-33.6%- and this is 5.4% more than a survey taken in 2000 which was 28.2% this was is in the United States alone. And I know what you’re thinking, because I had to think about a way to make this sound better than it was, so I actually DO know what you’re thinking, but anyways, your thinking “well, 33.6% isn’t very much, since it’s only out of 25 million Americans across the country ages 2-19!”……well, maybe that’s not exactly what you were thinking, but it would’ve been close If I had told you those facts. But now I don’t have to because I casually hinted at it. And I honestly don’t know why I keep tell you things that you obviously are already aware of, so I’ll stop.
Food
What’s a portion plate? It’s what’s recommended for an average meal of an average child; serving sizes, how many calories are in a healthy dinner, and what not to and to do when eating at a restaurant. Let’s get started, the portion size of each food group is as follows: fruits- ½ cup of grapes,1/4 cup of raisins, and ½ to ¾ cup 100% fruit juice, veggies- 1 cup green salad, ½ cup cooked veggies, and ½ to ¾ cup veggie juice, grain- 1 pancake, 1 cup dry cereal, and ½ cup cooked pasta, dairy- 1 cup milk, 1 cup yogurt, and ½ cup ice cream, meat- 2 TBSP peanut butter, 1/3 cup nuts, and ½ cup cooked beans, and last but not least, fats, oils, sweets- 1oz chips, 1oz chocolate, and 1tsp butter or margarine. And one more thing on food, there was this one lady, who came here from Japan and gained 20lbs in the two moths she spent her for college. And if that doesn’t show that there’s something wrong, I honestly don’t know what does.
Exercise
As you may know, it’s recommended that people should get at least 30-60 minutes of exercise each day or so. And, obviously, the activities that you do don’t necessarily have to be boring. Like for instants, you could roller blade for an hour, which can burn nearly 400+ calories, for 143 lbs person. And maybe it’s just me, but 400 calories is allot, isn’t it.
Well, that’s pretty much it.
And to quote Macbeth, “What’s done is done”.
Yours truly,- Niimii

Forestry Field Day!

We went to the Hartley nature center for forestry field day. We had to walk from station to station, and at each one, we learned different things about the forest, like how to tell how old a tree is, what animals bother and help a tree, and we also learned that, for example, if you were to hammer a nail into a tree, it wouldn’t grow up any higher than were you nailed it because the tree would grow outward, instead of upward.
At another station, we learned about how to tell a deer skull from a moose skull, and how to tell female skull from the male skull of an animal with antlers. Even if the animal had lost its antlers before it died. The difference is that the skull of the animal that’s antlers have fallen off, still have kind of a base were the antlers would have came out, which a females skull wouldn’t have.
At another station, we learned about the different types of soil, which are sand, clay, silt. The sand felt soft and grainy, the clay felt hard, sticky, and smooth all at the same time. And the silt, (which had to be substituted with flour.), felt soft, and fine. We also learned about what animals lived in soil.

My name is Niimii. I’m an only child, but I was told I have a half sister and brother. But I don’t see why anyone would want half a sister and half a brother
I really like animals, and have had allot of pets before, I’ve had two cats, a black smokey colored cat, and a white mutant cat that had 7 toes on one of its feet. One of its eyes was blue and the other was green and the they were crossed to. I’ve had a dark purple and blue beta fish, I’ve also had two parakeets, one was yellow & white, and the other was blue & white. A brown and white Holland lop rabbit. Some pets I would like to have, are a chinchilla, a guinea pig, or a lizard of some sort, like a blue-tongued skink, or a gecko.
My favorite colors are purple, red, black, green, and orange. My favorite foods are cheesecake and steak, but I also like tomatoes, apples, and lettuce. I like to type and write things, preferably stories, read books, preferably chapter books, draw, mostly animals, listen to music, mostly hip hop and pop. And I like to paint just about anything.
Ironically, despite my name, Niimii, which means “dance” in Ojibwe, I don’t really like to do so. I’m part irish, part ojibwe, and part French.
