It was a warm September day. I was coming back from a field trip called BOCES. Everything was going peacefully half the way back and then the bus started getting slower. I didn’t know why but I thought it was just normal. Then we pulled over.
“Why did we pull over?” I asked my friend.
“I don’t know,” she replied.
Then everyone started asking the same thing.
“Every one just stay calm down. The bus broke down. Another bus is going to come and pick us up,” my teacher said.
When my teacher said that mostly everyone started freaking out, including me. The grown-ups in the bus including the bus driver put up signs in the road to show where the bus was.
“What if we never make it back!” I heard someone say.
I saw all of the cars pass by. They were so close to us! As the time passed by mostly everyone started saying we will never get back. I was staring out of the window, and I saw the bus! Then a lot of people saw the bus. We all cheered. The bus turned around and pulled over in front of us. My teacher said the other class had to get off first. The class got off, and went on the other bus. Then my teacher said our class had to get off. We got off of the bus. We walked all the way over to the other bus, and a man had to carry us into the other bus. We went back to our school safely.
I am happy we didn’t get stuck in the road the entire day!
