I’m scared of this trip. This trip has done no good! I first lost all my livestock. We are freezing to death! It's like two degrees here! My son froze in the middle of the trail! I had to give him a cream that goes on your body that warms him up. My daughter was always crying because she thought that her husband was going to die and leave her pregnant! I told her that she isn’t going to be alone, that I'm always with her, and if I die her father and brother will be there! She started to cry even more! My dad died, and I cried like I was a waterfall. This is how it went. He froze and wouldn’t talk and he wouldn’t move. My husband screamed, “Elizabeth! Your father died! Come quick!” I went, and we buried him there in the snow. I left flowers there, and I hope when I die I will lay right next to him!
Since it has been snowing like a blizzard and the snow blocked the pass we thought to go right off the path and go right. We decided this because there are no mountains and trees and since there’s no mountains and trees we can just go through the clear space! Honestly, I'm scared but I tell my children that I love them and that we might be safe! I hope that this is the right trail to take!
I expect to be safe and to find nice land! I also except to not find death. I also want to see all these wagons be safe and sound when we get there. I also except to be with my family and live a beautiful life with them!
My advice to give to any pioneer is to make wise decisions and be with your family. Never leave your family alone! Have the right material for weather! Spring, winter, fall, and summer! Have the right clothes too. These may be my last words!
Best wishes,
Elizabeth Mingo

Spring!
I feel the fresh breeze on my face
I feel the sun beaming on my face
Bees are buzzing around
Ouch!
I see flowers sprouting
It's not summer or fall nor winter
What season is it?

Return to the Moon
The Challenger Science Center is a place where you learn about astronauts and how they went to the moon! You also get to feel and do the same things as the astronauts did. You get to communicate on a microphone and find data about the moon.
When I went to the Challenger Science Center, my job was life support. I wanted medical but I still loved my job. In life support you had to make sure we were breathing the right air, and if you weren’t you would have to change it. It was difficult. You would have to know your vocabulary. You also send messages to the data team.
What I learned on life support team was to always work fast and do what it says on the task cards. I also learned that you and your partner would have to use team work to figure out what to do.
The most difficult part in life support team was to change the air filter. It was difficult because my partner and I didn’t know where the old air filter was. We only had two minutes to find it. Then we found it but the gas was coming out and we had to change it fast. Then I knew I should have studied my vocabulary better.
What I would do differently the next time I visit the Challenger Science Center is study my vocabulary better, use team work, and listen to the commander. This was good experience for me because I want to be a doctor when I grow up, and doctors have to listen to directions and listen to their boss.
