Venus is the hottest planet. Earth is colder than the moon and Venus. The moon is colder than Venus, but hotter than Earth. Venus is hotter than Earth and the moon. Venus is that hot because it’s closest to the sun. The Earth doesn’t have phases, but the moon and Venus do have phases. The Earth has a moon, but the moon doesn’t have a moon because it’s a moon! Venus doesn’t have a moon. So remember, that Venus is closer to the sun so it is going to be hot!

I went to Buhler. The Buhler center was from the Challenger mission that exploded in 1986. The place is called Buhler because a man gave a lot of money to remember the astronauts, who died in the mission. We had a successful mission. It was hard.
There was a lot of technology. It is hard to control the robot. You have to be careful with the chemicals. You have to listen carefully.
I was part of the ISO team. I had to control the robot arm and collect cards from other teams.
I learned to be careful with the chemicals.
It was very hard to control the robot.

There was a girl, Voshti in a story called “the dot,” and she couldn’t draw. Her art teacher said, “Just make a dot.” Then the girl signed it. The next day the girl saw her dot above the teacher’s desk. Then she made a lot of dots. At the art show there was a boy. He couldn’t draw a line with a ruler. Then the girl said draw a line and sign it, and he did.
When I reread “the dot” I realized it was all about being successful. Voshti succeeded when she did the dot and then when Voshti made more dots. Also, when a little boy made the line, he succeeded. So, “the dot” is really all about how you will succeed if you try.
When I thought about the dot a lot more, I thought about my life and it reminded me about when I got a skateboard. I thought I couldn’t ride it. I tried hard. I succeeded.
So, if you try you can succeed.

I woke up excited and happy because the entire 5th grade was going to BOCES. (BOCES was a trip you get to go on when you are in 5th grade.)
***
When I got to school that morning, I saw a ton of buses. When I got to my classroom we read. Then we said the Pledge of Allegiance. We lined up to go to BOCES the trip. We got on the bus, and then we left.
***
When we got to BOCES we saw the pepole who worked there holding numbers. I went to my number, which was four. We went into the woods. It smelled like dirt and leaves. We saw a rope hanging from a tree. It was fun to swing on. After the rope swing, we saw a barrel. We had to go over the top, so I got on my hands and knees. After that my back really hurt.
We ate lunch and then left. I was on the bus when it broke down. We stayed for a couple of minutes.
Then we were back at school.
