My New Pet.

Article posted July 28, 2012 at 06:25 PM GMT-8 • comment • Reads 128

A few days ago my family drove to 'Petland". I was very excited because we were getting a brand new pet! The only other pet I have had was a fish tank. The pet store five guinea pigs. My family and I decided to get a smooth haired female guinea pig. In a few days my sister and I decided to name her 'Zoey'. My parents agreed. In my opinion she is a little chubby. But she is still a great pet!

Today at exactly 8:00 am today I finally reached level 80 in MW3! As soon as I leveled up I got 5 more kills and earned my second M.O.A.B (Mega Ordinance Ariel Bomb). After the game was I prestiged and I played a little longer. I am now officially prestige 7 level 10. But in my opinion the emblem is pretty lame. But I guess it's just about your rank.

San Fransisco Day 3

Today was a very long but fun day. It all started when our whole family woke up. We then drived for a few minutes towards yhe 'OakLand Zoo'. As we paid our admission I quickly noticed an exhibit for a large group of pink flamingos! But before we explored we had lunch at the cafe. My mom was a little cranky because of how expensive the food was. After we went down a trail and saw an exhibit for sun bears! Down the trail we also saw an exhibit for squirell monkeys! Since it would be too long to tell you what else we saw here it is goats, vultures, lions, bison and elephants. After we went on this very long ride to see the zoo that's were I spotted the bison. After that we left and what a hot day it was!

Today my family and I went to the 'Dublin Mall'. As soon as we got there I noticed on the map that there was a 'Game Stop'! So I quickly sprinted toward it and picked up MW3 collection 2 and MW2. My mom told me apperently I checked out all these items in 10 seconds! After we were all treated with 'chewy quazi gummy bears'. Once we got home it was already 5:47pm so we decided to go eat out at an 'Indian Buffet'. And let me tell you of hand it was delicous! It's 9:15pm right now and i'm waiting to get home so I can game. But it's time for me to go.

San Fransisco Day 1.

Today I am in San Fransisco. I just departured from 2 planes! Since our airport isn't a international airport we had to take plane to Vancouver. Every plane we took was from 'Air Canada'. When I boarded the plane in Prince George I was shocked when there was no television for my entertainment! I just sat and looked out the window. When we arrived in the Vancouver airport it took us about 1 hour and a half to get to the next Air Canada flight. Luckily there was a television for my entertainment. I watched 'Rated A for Awesome' also a movie called 'Journey 2 The Mysterious Island'. After we arrived in San Fransisco our relatives picked us up and took us to their new house. Which i'm blogging in right now!

Band Reflaction

Today our class walked to the D.P Todd high school to see their band perform. After seeing all of the instruments and how they sound I think I would personally want to play the trombone. I can't wait to join band next year! The band teachers name is Mr.Hannigan. However a question I had while listening to the grade 9 band play I wondered how long of a period do they have to practice before playing a concert? I think band is a really neat thing to do. Mostly because it gives you extra credit on your report card.

The Greatest Vacation Ever.

Article posted May 30, 2012 at 08:42 AM GMT-8 • comment • Reads 45

My greatest vacation ever was when my family went to San Fransisco! It all started at 6:00 am on a Saturday. My aunt drove my family to the local airport. Once we were past security and showed them our passports we boarded the plane. After a few hours we finally arrived in San Fransisco. We stayed in my moms brothers house for the week. The next day we went to Six Flags amusement. It was amazing it had a zoo also many rides and restaurants. After a long day we went home and ordered Indian food for dinner. The next day was the same as the others my parents went to the mall and I just stayed home and watched television. The food we ate was great considering we only ate at restaurant. However on the last day we all went to the mall and each picked a souvenir. I picked a limited edition model of a tiger for my collection. As we got home I noticed a soccer ball on the ground so we all played until dinner. We woke up at 7:00am the next day to board the plane and head back home. Unfortunately I got a fever when were back in Price George. Even though there were some negatives about our vacation it was still the best vacation ever!

Today in class we turned off all the lights in our school for a full hour. During that period of time we all talked about facts about the earth and many ways we can help reduce our carbon footprint. Did you know that there is a massive hill of in-recyclable items. In fact it is so big it is the size of Texas! We also talked about unhealthy foods and what is healthy. On Sunday is Earth Day and to show that you appreciate and want to reduce our carbon footprint you can turn off your house's lights for one full hour.

On Thursday and Friday our class went skiing. it was really fun. At the beginning of the lessons we got to go on the ski lift with a partner my partner was Blake. After we were all on the hill we all did a "pizza" to get down the hill. Once we were all down we could go down the hill as many times as we wanted. But only certain hills. At 1:00pm we all headed towards the bus. When I got home I was dead tired. Hopefully we can go skiing - snowboarding another time.

We will be playing against the 'Green Wild'. Though they still have yet to beat us their best games with us is when they took a 4-2 game lead. However we managed to get an additional 4 goals to win the game. Prince Rupert will be coming to our city. Through out the entire tournament there will be 15 games.

The Northern Gateway Pipeline is a pipeline that carries over 193,000 gallons of oil. I personally wouldn't want this pipeline because if it cracks it will leak into many lakes and will kill fish. This pipeline starts in Bruderheim,Alberta and ends in First Nations territory Kitimat,British Columbia and is shipped to China by supertankers. Enbridge is a rich company that will make bilions of dollars with the Northern Gateway Pipeline. The JRP (Judging Review Panel) will decide if this pipeline will stay or not.

If I Was...

February 6, 2012 M.B.

If I Was a Great White Shark….
If I was a great white shark my life would be an adventure. If I were a great white shark I would silently swim across the ocean in hopes I could see sunken ships and treasures of all kind. The setting through my point of view would be an ocean with many fish and other creatures. To be specific goldfish, sharks, and octopus. During my adventure I wondered what food was I supposed to eat and how would it taste? Of course only being used to eating regular cooked food. Just by thinking of eating raw food made me feel nauseous. Other than that I would enjoying my new life. I could even taste the salty ocean water spraying in my face as I struggle to swim. As I swim I can feel danger ahead. Suddenly an octopus appears from the darkness and gives me a big surprise! Luckily my swimming abilities help me escape from any danger. However such a life would get lonely and boring. Which is why my regular life appeals to me. Many questions are still buzzing in my head. I wonder, would I enjoy such a life? Being a great white shark would be fun but also would be boring having no friends as great white sharks hunt alone. I would like to know what it would be like eating with over thirty teeth! That’s how I see myself living the life of a great white shark.

January 18, 2012

My three day diary has showed me my diet result. Judging by my results I need a bit more grains and vegetables. My dairy and meat group are fully complete. I was surprised that my grain group was one serving under. Along with my fruits and vegetables category. There are a few changes I would like to make. I want to eat more vegetables by eating more broccoli, cucumber and celery. I may not like broccoli but my mom knows how to make a special sauce that goes great with broccoli. Compared to Canada’s Food Guide I am average. I do have a good diet. For my grain group I can have a bagel with chopped up strawberries. Which also supports my fruit and vegetables group.

Persuasive Letter
Dear, Ms. Sawatsky,
I feel that we are not getting as much school entertainment as we should. In particular, guest performances and speakers. I believe this is necessary for all the students to have their entertainment fix. As well as the teachers. This benefits the teachers because they can get great ideas for lessons an example would be when Spaced Out performed many teachers could learn things about space and teach their class. This can take place with P.A.C fundraising and you can find performers that are willing to perform for our school. Maybe students can vote for certain events that they want to see. Not many students or teachers would disagree. But if we can’t get a performer I think we can manage a deal that includes a bigger amount of money. I would be glad if you could go through all this for our entertainment.
Sincerely, M.B

Was he the only boy who survived?
I would feel terrible, cold and scared if I was in a camp like that.I think the Nazi leader felt invincible against all Jews.

I wonder what it feels like to play in front of a Nazi leader? If it was me I would be so scared I wouldn't ever want to play music again. I think the only reason the boy would eat the bread is because if he didn't he would die,
I don't believe the Nazi commandant should be a leader. Was the commandant proud of what he was doing?

Frozen grass

Autumn has begun

Leaves scattered on the ground

Layers of clothes

Long naps

Everlasting wind

Amazing animals

Violet sky's

Everyone is asleep

Scarecrows on everyone's lawn
