Geomandatry; A Geometry Blog by Amanda

This blog is for Miss Jovanovich's algebra and geometry classes to share ideas, ask questions, and reflect on what skills and topics we are studying. If we are lucky, we might even get a chance to connect with other students studying the same stuff.

More Angle Pairs and Proofs Hi everyone! It's been a kind of slow start to November, but Thanksgiving is right around the corner and we're getting there. As November drags on, so does the learning topic of Angle pairs. This past week we've learned about Alternate Exterior and Interior Angles, and Same Side Exterior and Interior Angles. Four new types, four new ways to get confused. I still don't fully understand all of it, but like everything else around me, I'm getting there. With angle pairs, comes another topic; proofs. I'm a little iffy with proofs, but it's getting easier as we're practicing them more. It's just a lot of steps, steps, and more steps. But, as they all say, practice makes perfect. And I'm definitely proving that proof by taking one step at a time, and working to understand more every class. It's around the holidays, and these concepts of steps to prove something keep reminding me of the song "One Foot In Front of the Other." But in the end, that's really what proofs are. One foot or step in front of or after the other.
