Emma's Extravagant Blog This blog is for Miss Jovanovich's algebra and geometry classes to share ideas, ask questions, and reflect on what skills and topics we are studying. If we are lucky, we might even get a chance to connect with other students studying the same stuff.

Studying for midterms Hello everyone! Hopefully you are all enjoying this fabulous three-day weekend. I know that I certainly am, however there is a very important task that I must accomplish during the course of this weekend: studying for midterms. I have been dreading this task ever since September, and the fact that it's all ready here is making me panic! However, I am very lucky that I have a three-day weekend, because this means that I will have extra time to study and be prepared for the midterm exams. One thing that I feel that I have struggled on this year was the reasoning and proof section. Therefore, in order to prepare myself for the exam, I did a few practice questions. One of those questions was: Given: angle A and angle B are right angles. Prove: angle A is congruent to angle B. The answer to this problem is as follows; By the definition of right angles, measurement of angle A =90 and measurement of angle B=90. By the substitution property of equality, the measurement of angle A= the measurement of angle B, or angle A is congruent to angle B. After studying this problem, I know that I am prepared for midterms.
