Jordan's Bad Blog

This blog is for Miss Jovanovich's algebra and geometry classes to share ideas, ask questions, and reflect on what skills and topics we are studying. If we are lucky, we might even get a chance to connect with other students studying the same stuff.

Hi bloggers. My favorite question from this semester was number 9 on page 390. I had to identify a minor arc. I liked this because it challenged me. The answer was arc ED. I never would have got that answer without all the help in class. Well see you next year.

Afternoon bloggers. Today has been a horrible rainy day. I hate rain. This week in class we focused on the law of cosine and law of sine. I don't mind these because the calculator does a lot of the work. Only 11 days left of school. Have a good week bloggers.

Hello bloggers. This week in class we did some cosine, sine, and tangent stuff. An easy way to remember those are SOH CAH TOA. It really helps me. Well have a good week.

Afternoon. This week in class we are going to take a test. I hope we all do well on it. During the one class day we had we went over homework and reviewed for the test because everyone was at the Interact feild trip. The end of the year is almost here. Have a good week bloggers.

Hi. This week in class we learned about how to find the area in any regular polygon by cutting it into small triangles and multiplying that by the number of sides. Also we learned about circle angles and circumference. Well, have a good week.

Hello bloggers. This week in class we did some more radical things. We used radicals to find the area of triangles, trapezoids, and parallelograms. I thought it was pretty fun. Have a good time working on your scratch projects. Bye

Hello bloggers. This week we talked about radicals. We learned how to make the pathagrium theorem work with radicals too. I think that they are usually easy but can get tricky when we use them in shapes. Have a good weekend bloggers.

Hello it is Jordan again. The patriots just lost the super bowl 5 minutes ago and I'm pissed off. I really wanted them to win. In class this week we did some triangle coordinate points stuff where we had to make a line go through mid-segments and things like that. I'm disappointed in how this week turned out but I'll get over it. Bye.

School is half over. It all goes so fast. This week we did triangle mid-segment activities. I thought that they were pretty cool. We were asked to put a link of a good scratch page. I picked this because it is interesting. Click on the link at the bottom. Bye.

Hello, blogging is boring. This week we studied some isosceles triangle theorem stuff again and took a test. For mid terms I am not too worried and studying at a steady pace. This should go well. Have a good week.

Hello it's Jordan. This week in class we went over the triangle theorems such as SAS, AAS, and some isosceles triangles theorems. It think that these really help when writing proofs. Well that was our week. Have fun in class.

Finally it is here, vacation. I cannot believe that it came so fast. The project is due tomorrow and I feel bad to those who are trying to get it in at the last moment. This week in class we focused on triangle postulates and theorems. They were SAS, AAS, SSS, and ASA. The A stands for angle and the S stands for side. This was for proving angles congruent. A special assignment was to talk about how we are preparing for end of semester exams. Personally I haven't started. I will probably start when school starts again. Well bloggers I hope you are keeping up to date on blogs. Have a merry, merry, Christmas (or Chanukah).

Hey bloggers, blogging is getting old don't you think? I do. Well last week in class we did a lot on triangles and equal triangles. So this week as a special on our blog we had to find our favorite problem from chapter 3. My favorite were 32-35 on page 148. In these they gave us the interior angles of a polygon and had to find out the amount of side. Well only 7 days until Christmas. Have a merry last week of school.

Another week of school looming ahead for us. I just wish Christmas would come. Well this week we took the test, I'm crossing my fingers on this one. We also had review for the test which are always fun. The project due date continues to come closer and I don't think anyone is ready. Also we had to say our favorite theorem. My favorite is the alternate interior angles theorem because it just minimizes the steps you have to do in proofs. So that was our week. Have fun in school. Adios bloggers.

Only a month until Christmas. I can't wait, can you? Well back to school. This week we took a proof quiz. That was a load of joy. Proving lines parallel is just so tricky. We also got a new project to make a golf coarse. This sounds like a good way to show artistic ability fellow bloggers. Well that was our week. Hope you enjoyed the latest update on Jordan's Bad Blog!

Evening Blogmeisters. How are you. I am quite well. So the topic in class this week was staying with proofs but also we threw in a curve ball. We had to do the converse of proofs. I don't really know how but I got almost all the answers right about them. Every time I did it, it just felt wrong to me though. Well, I guess that is what reversing things can do to you. Hope you enjoyed my weekly blog this week. See you next time on Jordan's Bad Blog. Have a great week.

Hello, Jordan here at my blog. Just writing an update on this week. In geometry class this week we are focusing on writing out proofs and what justifies them. I don't really prefer this though because writing things out is a hassel. It is a little confusing when the proofs start to get long but when they are short it is fairly easy. Well hope you enjoyed me keeping you up to date. Have a great week.

Hello it is me Jordan again and welcome to this weeks blog. Today I will be showing you a website about angle pairs. Click on the link at the bottom and once you get there scroll down past types of angles to the angle pairs. For me my favortite type of angle pair is the adjacent angle pair. I like this because it seems like the least complecated angle because they just have to be touching. A way I can remember this is because in a show my brother watches (Phineas and Ferb) a Bi-state combinds with the adjacent area which is right next to it. I hope that tip will help someone else who knows that shwo too. See you next time on Jordan's Bad Blog!

Ok, so I am Jordan and my blog today is on constructions. A construction is simply drawing lines, shapes, and angles accurately using a compass and a straight edge. All these constructions are fun but my favorite construction is the copying a line segment. This one is my favorite because whenever I need to draw something I can never get the same lengths for line like if I was drawing a square. This shows me how to do it and it is very easy. I will now tell you the steps of how to draw this.

1. You will need a compass and a straight edge

2. Draw line AB on a peice of paper

3. Draw a different line that is longer than line AB

4. Set your compass to the length of line B

5. On one of the endpoint of your other line put the compass point on. This is now point A. Then point the other side of the compass towards the line

6. Draw an arc where the drawing part of the compass is

7. Mark the point where the arc intersects the line. This is point B.

8. You have now copied a line segment spread the word and have fun.
