The Math Geek Equestrian

This blog is for Miss Jovanovich's algebra and geometry classes to share ideas, ask questions, and reflect on what skills and topics we are studying. If we are lucky, we might even get a chance to connect with other students studying the same stuff.

building with geometry! Hello everybody! This weekend I went to NYC on a trip with my church. We stayed in the world's largest Gothic cathedral, St John the Divine. Our tour guide told us how the builders of the cathedral had to think about every little detail. The cathedral is 124 feet wide, 124 feet tall, and 601 feet long. All those numbers add up to 7. I was so surprised how much math and geometry was incorporated in the building of the cathedral. It is very cool when you think about it.
Come back next week for my next weekly blog!
