Wyatt's Geometry Blog

This blog is for Miss Jovanovich's algebra and geometry classes to share ideas, ask questions, and reflect on what skills and topics we are studying. If we are lucky, we might even get a chance to connect with other students studying the same stuff.

SOH CAH TOA Dear readers/fellow bloggers,
In Geometry so far, we’re diving into the complex world of trigonometry. When I first heard we were going to be working with trig functions and patterns, it was a little intimidating. After a few classes, I found out it actually wasn’t that complicated and makes sense. All you have to do is remember SOH CAH TOA, referring to the ratios of the different sides of right triangles(Sine Cosine and Tangent). For anyone who is freaking out about trigonometry or anything to do with it, it’s actually not that complicated. The only way it could get worse is if you have to incorporate it into a word problem in which in most cases is everyone’s worst nightmare.
