10 Pieces Of Advice
This article will talk about 10 pieces of advice I have for freshman.
My first piece of advice for incoming freshman is not honestly not be worried about the transition of work. The work at the beginning of the year is much like middle school work, They gradually work you into the high school load of homework and classwork.
Next is to not worry about upper class man. If they make fun of you because you are a freshman it is because the same happened to them when they were and you have the right to once you are in a higher grade.
Do NOT lie to your teachers, teachers generally trust you at first and I have seen how kids are treated after lying to their teacher. Its like being on lock down.
Do not expect to use your locker here ether, It is tiny and none of your stuff will fit so just bring your bag to all your classes (I find this more convenient anyways).
Never ever, ever, ever....ever cheat on a test. The 0 is much worse than a 50!
Stay close to your friends who you are close to now. It is your friends who get you through the year and help you succeed.
Take classes YOU will enjoy. Do not take a class because your friends aren't taking it because you will miss out.
If you are going to be late for a class inform the teacher ahead of time or have the teacher you are with call to that teacher because you do not want the lecture of how you have to be on time and where you are suppose to be.
Lastly always study for midterms and finals. They are the most important tests of the year and you want to do the best you can on them. I study for each for about 2 hours and i recommend you do the same.
This concludes all my advice for you incoming freshies! have fun!
