This blog is for Miss Jovanovich's algebra and geometry classes to share ideas, ask questions, and reflect on what skills and topics we are studying. If we are lucky, we might even get a chance to connect with other students studying the same stuff.

Your math class is 2 hours, how long is your math class in one day?

How I would solve this problem

2 hours/1 1day/24 hours = 2/24

Tech Number 7 by Brendan
The difference between a ratio and a rate is that a ratio is a comparison between two numbers. A rate is a distance and a time for example 20 miles per hour.

Here is a great website for Unit Analysis http://www.chem.tamu.edu/class/fyp/mathrev/mr-da.html

Hello, I can't wait till I take my exams. I have looked through my binder and have seen almost all the topics we have gone over so far like Real numbers, onestep equations and 2 step equations. I have looked over almost all the topics and I remember almost all of them. I am still having trouble with the vocabulary but other than that I am in pretty good shape. I have not really thought about the exams that much hopefully there not to hard. Somethings I could to help me get ready for the exam is to look over my book and do the extra problems, make flashcards for the vocabulary, and just study every night.

well this is very long you don't have to read it if you want....

By Brendan Carney

I enjoyed coming in everyday in seeing a smile on Guti’s face. yea I did good on this one quiz and I was proud of myself. What made frustrated quarter 1 was when I did not take my time and did not subtract or divide both sides of the equation. What I did to solve that is take my time, and look over the problem after I do it. Some things that I will do differently quarter 2 is pass in all my homework on time and have dividers so I can actually pass my binder quiz.

Thank you for reading
