Alex's Mighty Math

This blog is for Miss Jovanovich's algebra and geometry classes to share ideas, ask questions, and reflect on what skills and topics we are studying. If we are lucky, we might even get a chance to connect with other students studying the same stuff.

5/27/12 Alright guys, this week in geometry we learned about the formulas cosine (COS), sine (SIN), tangent (TAN). They can show ratios between the sides of a right triangle.

There are ways to remember these ratios. Cosine is a ratio of adjacent over hypotenuse (CAH). Sine is a ratio of opposite overt hypotenuse (COH). Tangent is a ratio of opposite over adjacent (TOA).
