We are learning to use sine, cosine, and tangent in oblique triangles. It is slightly more to remember but it is all based on he same principle and I am finding it very easy to understand. Durring class when we talked about law of sines ambiguous cases I had already begun to think of other things that I was connecting to it. I asked about how the fourth step could ever be true because I realized it would be able to make a triangle. I thought it was cool to understand that it is a possibility for an ambiguous case to come up with a impossible triangle.

SOH CAH TOA is a funny way to remember how the sine, cosine, and tangent ratios work but at first I still confused SOH CAH with SAH COH. I like this unit because it further helps me connect things I have learned and it is a very algebra drivin skill.

Area formulas are good to know and lern because of how versatile and useful they are. I think that this will be a skill I have to remember how to do throughout my life. I like the simplicity of plugging in our knowns and coming out with an answer using our formulas.

We have been working with special patterns in right triangles. I think that these patterns and formulas have come very easily to me. I think that this test shouldn't be too hard.

Radicals seem very polar to me. It seems when the numbers come out nicely, it is very easy. On the other hand, when they don't work out so perfect, they become very difficult to do without a calculator. I think that this would have been a lot harder to learn about if we had not already gone over it a little bit last year.

I spent a lot of time this week reflecting. But not in the physiological meaning. We worked on reflections in geometry. To reflect an object you need a line of reflection to bace your reflection from. You can also find this line if you already have the image and pre-image. Reflecting becomes difficult for me when the point don't fall nicely on a graph.

Durring the week of April 2, 2012, we learned about transformations. These are when you are taking a shape and moving it. This does not alter the shape in any way except position. Transformations are normally showed with what are called rules. The rules are an equation/formula to give you the position of the image if you put in the numbers for the pre-image.

This week we are practicing using the pythagorean theorem and the formulas for trapezoids and perpendicular diagonal shapes. It is easy enough to understand but I don't like showing my work for these things.

This week is the last week of quarter three. This quarter was interesting and i think the information was very easy to apply and I hope I will be able to apply these skills later in life. We worked a lot differently this quarter than the last two but it was still fun and easy to understand.

Hello World! (a warm one at that)
So this week was a bit of a warm one. The temperatures where way over average. We have been working with properties of quadrilaterals in class and it is easy enough. I think that this chapter will end up being one of the fundamentals for the next few chapters.
