Shalom readers! It's mothers day! Thank you to all the loving mothers in the world! my mom is out somewhere, hasn't answered my texts, just a tad worried.
That was off topic. Anyways lately we've been talking about patterns of right triangles. the patterns are that the long side = the short side x the square root of 3. Another pattern is that the hypotenuse = 2 x the short side.
A way to remember this is H = 2 S, or hiss like a snake. No idea how a snake's hiss has anything to do with geometry. That's it for now. I'm going to go pass out now, night!

Howdy followers (like twitter followers)! Sorry, that was random. I am soooo tired. My geometry teacher will be proud of me because I did all my missing homework's and have succeeded in making up my blogs. My grades are terrible lately and I want to show how much I really care.
So in geometry, around May 6th we were talking about the Pythagorean theorem. Pythagoras was some kind of mathematical genius. Anyways, the theorem is A squared + B squared = C squared. It is used to find the length of sides of a triangle. This only works with right triangles though. That's it for this one, all caught up now just one more to go!

Hello reader! So around the time of April 29th we were learning all about the fun around radicals. Radicals are simplified forms of square roots. Basically you break down the factors of a square root and see if any of them can be simplified. I find them pretty easy since we already worked with them in algebra 2. That's it for this one, 2 more to go!

Hey there blog reader! So around the time of April 15th we were talking about reflections and rotations. Reflections are easy because you just need to draw the points of the shape equidistant from the line of reflection. Rotations are tricky because you need to measure the degrees of the rotation and I don't trust myself with a protractor. That's it for this one, 3 more to go!

Hey readers! So I have been far behind in keeping this blog up to date, so sorry! My grade has been paying dearly for it. The seas of life have been rough but my boat hasn't flipped. Now I'm working on leveling out.
Anyways so in geometry around April 8th we were working on transformations and dilation's. I remember dreading taking about these. Of course by now I believe I have a good hold on them since we worked on them in class. That's it for this one, four more to go!

Hello and welcome to my blog about my geometry class. For the past week or so we have been talking about quadrilaterals. Knowing that it’s going to be a tough new unit is a bit scary but it’s also a relief. We have been working on triangles for what seems like forever and it’s nice to know I won’t be seeing that shape for awhile. Knowing all the things we learned about triangles it’s scary to think that we are probably going to be learning that much about each and every quadrilateral…

I have decided to stop numbering my blog posts. I've realized that it doesn't really matter which one it is and that a number isn't very appealing to a reader. Anyways, this week we were told to check out this program called "Scratch". It was made to help people better understand code. On a website we were given there are thousands of programs that people have made.
This one program I found is called "Maze Game". It looks pretty sketchy compared to other high quality programs but I like it much more. You play as this car type thing and your objective is to retrieve one circle, then exit through another. So far I haven't been able to get past level 2 but I'll keep trying. Hey person reading my blog! I know, I am a day late for posting to this. I'm used to having to post the last day of the weekend and with the extended weekend I didn't even realize it was Monday. This weekend has been really hectic with midterms. I put my spare time aside for studying. No matter how much I study I can't help but be nervous. The class I'm most nervous for is geometry. The hardest part to studying for this class had to have been proving lines parallel. I think I have the hang of it but there's no telling until tomorrow. Wish me luck!

Well blog readers, I bombed a quiz last week. At least that's how I feel I did. That's how it's been with geometry lately. No matter how hard I study, when I get that quiz in front of me everything I learned goes away. That's how it was all last week. Midterm stress is catching up with me, I doubt it will leave until it's all done and over with. Geometry is my worst grade but I know it's my fault. I neglected this blog too much and have paid for it dearly. The most I can hope for is a to make accommodations. Better luck next time I suppose.

Hi blog wanderers. I hope I'm not alone in saying that this holiday season came and went way too fast. The time for family gatherings and parties is over and the time for headaches has begun.
Now that vacation is over, going back to using our brains is going to be tough. Tomorrow you will be able to hear the gears in student’s heads grinding. On top of that, midterms are just two weeks away and boy am I unprepared for it. Last year, midterms and finals were a breeze but that was only because it was freshman year. At my high school sophomore year is notorious for being the most difficult year but I am almost praying that it doesn’t have the most difficult midterms.
For midterm week last year, all of my teachers gave out study guides which made it even easier on top of it already being easy material. However, before the vacation began I received a few warnings that this wouldn’t be the case for this year. I have yet to make a plan of action but I know that my future self has got this under control, and that everything will be alright.
