Article posted May 28, 2012 at 10:53 PM GMT-5 • comment • Reads 47 This week, we learned about Sin, cosine and tangent. There is an easy way to remember their ratios; SOH CAH TOA. It is very useful when trying to remember which ratios are which. Article posted May 28, 2012 at 10:53 PM GMT-5 • comment • Reads 47

Article posted May 28, 2012 at 10:51 PM GMT-5 • comment • Reads 47 This week in geometry, we looked at special right triangle patterns. They make it more simple to find the sides of triangles. There is no good way to remember them so I'm going to have to remember them. Article posted May 28, 2012 at 10:51 PM GMT-5 • comment • Reads 47
Article posted May 3, 2012 at 08:45 PM GMT-5 • comment • Reads 46 This week in geometry, we have been talking about the pythagorean theorem. I've done this multiple times so it comes very easy to me. I should have no trouble with it. Article posted May 3, 2012 at 08:45 PM GMT-5 • comment • Reads 46
Article posted May 3, 2012 at 08:44 PM GMT-5 • comment • Reads 36 This week in geometry, we talked a little bit more about radicals. I enjoy them becuase we are working with the same thing in algebra 2 so this is much simpler than what I am doing in that class. Article posted May 3, 2012 at 08:44 PM GMT-5 • comment • Reads 36
Article posted May 3, 2012 at 08:43 PM GMT-5 • comment • Reads 30 This week in geometry, we had a quiz on translations. I enjoyed this unit because most of it was working with drawings. I felt very good about the quiz after taking it. Article posted May 3, 2012 at 08:43 PM GMT-5 • comment • Reads 30
Article posted May 3, 2012 at 08:42 PM GMT-5 • comment • Reads 40 This week in geometry, we started to talk about radicals. We have been working with radicals in Algebra 2 for a little while now so it comes easy to me. Article posted May 3, 2012 at 08:42 PM GMT-5 • comment • Reads 40
Article posted April 1, 2012 at 09:05 PM GMT-5 • comment • Reads 75 This week, we had a test on quadrilaterals. I guess I'm not too good at quadrilaterals and maybe the fact that I missed 2 days didn't help. Article posted April 1, 2012 at 09:05 PM GMT-5 • comment • Reads 75

But when I was in Ohio, I noticed the ineresting squares and rectangles that the land is divided up into. Article posted March 28, 2012 at 09:07 PM GMT-5 • comment • Reads 49

Article posted March 13, 2012 at 08:19 AM GMT-5 • comment • Reads 40 This week in geometry we took a test. I felt very good about the test. I enjoyed this test because most of it was multiple choice. There were very few short answer questions which made it seem quicker. I'm also positive that I got the extra credit question correct. Article posted February 29, 2012 at 10:13 PM GMT-5 • comment • Reads 42 This week in geometry, we finished our lines in triangles project. I liked this project a little more than the other projects. I had medians, which I think was the easiest out of all of the lines. The median is the line that connects one vertex to the midpoint on the opposite side. It is still not my favorite proof, but I like it more than coordinate proof and flow proofs. Article posted February 27, 2012 at 08:43 PM GMT-5 • comment • Reads 32
Article posted February 8, 2012 at 10:15 PM GMT-5 • comment • Reads 70 This week in geometry, we took another quiz! I felt good again about this quiz and am still awaiting my grade. I like mixing algebra in with geometry because I am good at algebra and I don't mind doing it. This section has a lot of algebra in things like the coordinate proofs. I don't mind those either. I still like the table proofs the best though. Article posted February 8, 2012 at 10:15 PM GMT-5 • comment • Reads 70
Article posted January 30, 2012 at 11:12 PM GMT-5 • comment (1) • Reads 327 This week, we had to look up scratch projects and select our favorite one. My favorite was the angry birds project. I love the game angry birds and it was funny to see someone try to remake it. It played just like angry birds, but only had two levels. http://scratch.mit.edu/projects/puneri/2294898 Article posted January 30, 2012 at 11:12 PM GMT-5 • comment (1) • Reads 327

To prepare for my geometry midterm, I need to review topics from the first few chapters such as intersections, unions and the midpoint and distance formula. Article posted January 8, 2012 at 09:32 PM GMT-5 • comment • Reads 74 This week in geometry, we learned many new theorems and postulates that are helpful in proving triangles congruent. We also took a quiz. I did well on the quiz and I am happy with my grade. Article posted January 8, 2012 at 09:32 PM GMT-5 • comment • Reads 74

Doing this golf project was fun because both of us golf, and it was fun to use golf products and build a bunker on our golf course. I am going to look over my tests, and try all of the problems again. If I don't understand something, I will review it. I am also going to look over all of the postulates, theorems and other definitions. Article posted December 23, 2011 at 09:46 AM GMT-5 • comment • Reads 69
Article posted December 19, 2011 at 12:41 PM GMT-5 • comment • Reads 99 This week in geometry, we received our tests back. I did well on the test and I am happy with my grade. I made a few careless mistakes here and there, but they didn't effect my grade too much. We also learned flow proofs. I don't like them as much as table proofs and I am still a little confused by them. Article posted December 19, 2011 at 12:41 PM GMT-5 • comment • Reads 99
Article posted December 11, 2011 at 08:49 PM GMT-5 • comment • Reads 72 This week in geometry, I got my proof quiz back and we went over polygons. On my proof quiz, I did really well and I now feel confident with my proofs. Polygons were a little confusing at first, especially with the exterior and interior angles. But I feel like I am definitely learing more about them. Article posted December 11, 2011 at 08:49 PM GMT-5 • comment • Reads 72

I feel good about this quiz because i got a 100 on the proof part of the last quiz. We are also starting the mini golf project. This project looks fun to do and I've begun to come up with some good ideas. Article posted December 1, 2011 at 12:13 PM GMT-5 • comment • Reads 73

Both of my brothers came home from college for a few days and it was nice to be together as a family. The Thanksgiving food was delicious as always. It was nice to get a break and I'm looking forward to Christmas break in a few weeks. Article posted November 27, 2011 at 08:23 PM GMT-5 • comment • Reads 79

I felt pretty good about the quiz and the proof that was on it. I'm better at proofs then before, and I feel like I am improving on them every week. I like them because I know that I can find the measure of an angle if I can find its supplement. One thing I use to remember this angle pair is if you have one angle, then the other angle will SUPPLY the rest of the STRAIGHT LINE. My favorite type of construction is copying line segments. I like it because it is the quickest and easiest. To copy a line segment, take out your compass. Draw a line then take the compass and open it to match the length of the original line. Then, using the same measurment, put one end of the compass on a point on the other line. Then make an ark using the compass. Where the ark and line meets, you make a point and you have copied the line. Article posted October 12, 2011 at 08:54 PM GMT-5 • comment • Reads 102
