                                                      Go Big or Go Home

Brady Steele watches in awe as a fireball comes crashing through the roof of his house. Brady immediately calls up his cousin, Quinn. They both love all things extreme, and this is the most extreme thing everFred, as Brady names his space rock, turns out to be one of the rarest meteorites ever found. Professor Rip Ripley from the museum in Hill City wants to study a sliver of it in search of extraterrestrial bacteria. He's hoping to discover the first proof of life beyond Earth, aamazing breakthrough for the new science of astrobiology.During a wild week of extreme bicycling, fishing, and caving, Brady and Quinn battle their rivals, the  Carver boys, for possession of the meteorite. With each new day, Brady is discovering he's able to do strange and wonderful feats that shouldn't be possible. At the same time, he's developing some really bad symptoms. He is infected with dormant microbes from space.

If you hear timber you better look out. When a lumberjack cuts down a tree he might yell timber to let people now that it is falling and they need to look out for it. Trees that are cut down and that are going to be put to use are cut into planks called lumber. Lumberjacks use tools to cut down trees like a chainsaw or a axe or even a hand saw.

I like the poem Flint by: Christina Rosette

Similes and End rhyme are two of the types of poems that I like.

I'm good at finding Similes in poems.

I will use Simile in my poems and I will use End Rhyme.

I can write about nature like Christina Rosette.

Three Little Children

Article posted February 14, 2012 at 03:06 PM GMT • comment • Reads 410

Three little children

  On the wide wide earth,

Motherless children--

  Cared for from their birth

    By tender angels.

Three little children

  On the wide wide sea,

Motherless children--

  Safe as safe can be

    With guardian angels.

Roses

Article posted February 14, 2012 at 03:04 PM GMT • comment • Reads 391

Roses blushing red and white,

  For delight;

Honeysuckle wreaths above,

  For love;

Dim sweet-scented heliotrope,

  For hope;

Shining lilies tall and straight,

  For royal state;

Dusky pansies, let them be

  For memory;

With violets of fragrant breath,

  For death.
