A useful invention is a computer monitor.This is useful in my life because it holds all of diffrent types of information and it helps you learn new things if you search it up. It makes my life easier by not having to ask my parents things or calling somebody and asking them what homework we have I just go on the teachers website if they have one. The person who invented it was Allen B. in the year 1920. A computer monitor looks like a tv and it is black when not used. 

For spring break this year I am going to celebrate Easter with my family!! Then after that sunday night i am heading down to Wilmington at my grandmas house for the week. Then on friday I am going to Myrtle Beach for the weekend at my families house!!

The type of nonfiction I like is inventions. I like this topic because I think that making inventions is cool. I also like this topic because I like to make new cool inventions like a  cool chain reaction. I know that the first  chain reaction was a nuclear reaction. What I would like to learn about is what caused it? Also what year was it?  I would like to know this because these would be very intresting facts to know. I hope you liked to know what type of nonfiction I like to read!

Wait if I have a cow lick that means I got licked by a cow? No! A cow lick is  is when your hair sticks up. Did you know your cow lick is with you before you are born! Well it depends on if you are a righty or a lefty because your hair on your cow lick will be either counterclockwise or clockwise! A cow lick may also be called a "hair whorl". This topic may affect my every-day life by having to deal with it with certin hair styles. This affects other people in the worl because everybody has a cow lick! When I was a little girl my moms best friend used to tell me and her son that when we were born that they brought us to a farm and saw cows and they licked the back of our heads! We really belived her!

 One of my favorite poems is called '' I Eat Kids Yum Yum!'' by Jack Prelutsky.

A child went out one day.

She only went to play.

A mighty monster came along 

and sang:

'' I EAT KIDS YUM YUM!

I STUFF THEM DOWN MY TUM.

I ONLY LEAVE THE TEETH AND CLOTHES. ( I SPECIALLY LIKE TOES.)''

The child was not amused.

She stood there and refused.

Then with a skip and twirl she

sang the song of the hungry girl:

''I EAT MONSTERS BURP!

THEY MAKE ME SQUEAL AND SLURP.

IT'S TIME TO CHOMP AND TAKE A CHEW AND WHAT 

I'LL CHEW IS YOU!''

The monster ran like that!

It didn't stop to chat.

( The child went skipping home 

again and ate her brothers

I like this poem because I thouht it was funny that the girl wasn't scared of the monster but the monster was scared of her!  I also like the songs that the monster and the girl sang to each other about eating one another!

The holiday country I am doing is Italy. They say ''Buon Natale" to greet people  and their tree is the cultural tree. Italy never had christmas trees as a symbol for the Italian Christmas. Christmas Eve is a time to also show artist work of a manger scene. Christmas in Italy has two types Christians do normal traditions  and pre Christians do something called Saturnalia. They also light something called a Yule log which has to stay lighted until New Years Day. This is another tradition with Italy. Another tradition is on January sixth kids put out shoes on the night before the Epiphany and an old women comes around Italy on a broom and leaves toys for the children, but only if they are good if they are bad she leaves hot lumps of coal for them. I love how theydo there traditions because they have so many! I hope you liked the information about Italy as much as I did!

I have been reading The Keeping Room in L.A. class it is a very good book!! The Keeping Room is about a  boy about our age and his father went to war against the British and left Joey in charge and keeping the house safe. Then the British took over the house adn locked  the mom, sister, and Joey in one little room. Then Joey left the room without the British knowing and sole food. Then he herd his dad was in a jail for soliders and he went to go visit him and on his way a man grabed Joeys ankle and a guard thought he was talking to him. Then he found his dads cell and he was all chained up and he told his dad how the British took over the house and dug out his garden and put a place to hang people. The dad was so mad Hope ypu like what I told you about the book on this Blog hope you can read it, it i very good!!

As you know I am Bodily-Kinesthetic. And I think I can do a sign language assement. I can show you all types of signs. I can show you the ABC and other things because my great grandparents were deaf. I can tell you how they got deaf and how my grandfather burned his leg in a fire and they could not hear him screaming.

 The Edutopia video was really  cool. I loved the Smartville theme because they got to act like parents and have responsibility! I would do the cooking classes because it would be cool to cook a lot. I would also do the post office. I really liked this video!
