I just read Everything with a Beginning, has an End by Jonathan. When I read Jonathan’s blog, it reminded me of a time when I started to notice about not being able to avoid death. I thought about this for a while. It made me feel sad but I eventually realized about not being able to avoid it. It all started one day when I was having fun with my friends when I realized that I can’t avoid death and sometime the time will come when I will never see my friends again, and I will never see sunlight in the same way. I made a poem to fit this thought. eternal darkness is never fun because then you’ll never see the sun you’ll be left in an everlasting sleep that nobody would ever like to keep - Hubert I wrote this poem because it’s true, if I’m never able to play basketball with my friends or live a life anymore, then it would be depressing. I cried when I thought about it too much. It started to get me dreaming constantly, night or day I tried to imagine people cheering and being happy that they can live the rest of their lives without thinking about it. I cried constantly. But I realized that, it’s impossible and it’s just a dream. Jonathan really expressed feelings and I agree with him. I think you would too. If you don’t believe me or Jonathan, you don’t have too. I’ll give you a fact, try to make your life last. I learned this from my mom and from Jonathan. My mom would always say “Maximize your time!”. In Jonathan’s blog he showed me my mom was right. He said “ So try and make it last”. So, try to make your life last, complete your goals, don’t just keep thinking about this. If you just think toward your future not your end, you can accomplish many things and you come to your end knowing, that you accomplished many achievements and you won't regret a thing in your life. I was really touched by the way he says these things. So live life with passion and try to accomplish things and then you may live life with no regret.

New York Loves Basketball

Hi I’m Hubert and I love basketball and I’m sure you will too If you come to New York. I was inspired by the team the New York Knicks. The New York Knicks inspired me to play basketball ever since I was in 2nd grade. When you watch the New York Knicks play, you will notice the fans of the Knicks go wild after every shot made from the Knicks! And trust me they make lots of shots in. As you can see, basketball is a very popular sport in New York. I always play basketball on the breaks inspired by the Knicks moves.
The NBA stands for National Basketball Association. The New York team for NBA is the New York Knicks. This is what makes basketball so popular in New York. New York Knicks fans are cheering all over the United States. Sometimes they even though the Knicks are playing in a different state, we still get a lot of cheers. Isn’t that amazing! Fans from all over the United States cheering for the Knicks. Sometimes we even get more cheers than the other team! To me, the New York Knicks is my favorite team because they are my home team and also they have a team full of awesome players. I watched almost every Knicks game. They won 2 championships.
This year 2012, the players in the New York Knicks are Carmelo Anthony, Iman Shumpert, Steve Novak, Amar’e Stoudemire, Tyson Chandler, Jeremy LIn, J.R. Smith, Tony Douglas, Mike Bibby, Josh Harrellson, Landry Fields, Jared Jeffries, Bill Walker, and Jerome Jordan. This is what makes the New York Knicks. The Knicks play in Madison Square Garden. Whenever there is a game, crowds pour into Madison Square Garden. Madison Square Garden is the home of the New York Knicks. Whenever there is a Knicks game, You see tons of crowds piling into the halls to get tickets. The jerseys for the Knicks are very expensive because everyone wants to represent the Knicks. Soon New York will get another team, the Nets. My dream is to visit a Knicks game one day.
You can see people playing basketball in parks, in schools and on tv. If you go to a park in New York, you’ll probably see a playground and if there is a basketball court go try it out and shoot the ball in the hoop. I do this on breaks or commercials. Here are some fun games to play.

If you decide to play basketball in New York, be sure to remember these games. I do this all the time when there is break. When you watch TV and come across a basketball game then you better watch to see the great moves such as:

You name it, the Knicks can do it all.
Basketball is a fun enjoyable game in New York and anywhere around the world. I love New York basketball and I’m sure you will too if you come to New York.

Chapter 1
My Science Teacher is Evil.
I had a bad feeling about waiting in that room . I especially had a bad feeling about the chair my science teacher putting me in ,a chair with cuffs for my hands and my feet. “ Just wait a moment,” He had said . “ Just stay calm while I get my materials for your project. And so I waited and waited. I looked at my watch, 3:30 PM. School was over. I decided to go get my things from my locker and get ready for after school. I got up but hesitated. the seat’s cuffs wrapped around my arms and legs and I was pulled back into the seat. “I will get-” My science teacher walked in and sneered. The chair grew arms and forced my mouth open.
“ Well, well, well. My favorite student Will sadly you're the only one who would offer to come... so you are now going to be my fine little invention.”
“What do you mean by your invention.” I said with my mouth wide open. Suddenly, he poured a flossy liquid down my throat. My throat felt scorched. I tried to grasp for air, and then everything became black.
In my dream I saw myself running for my life trying to ret to the JFK airport. I saw a boy next to my right. He was wearing a t-shirt that looked like a tiger used it as a chew toy. His hair was curly and the boys eyes were like dark chocolate. I looked to my left and there was a girl that looked 5 years old. Her hair looked like they have been in a laundry machine. Next to her was a boy who looked... about 3 years old.
I woke to the sound of the school fire alarm.

Bud cares for his family in any situation. He cared for his family when he went to Grand Rapids from Flint, when he feels emotional, and when he escapes his foster homes. Family is everything to Bud.
I knew Bud loved his family when he went to Grand Rapids. I know this because he read all day trying to figure out how to get to Grand Rapids. I also knew that Bud loved his family going to Grand Rapids when he kept continuing with courage. Bud kept trying to calculate the miles from the books. Bud loved his family going to Grand Rapids.
I know that Bud feels emotional when it comes to family because he always shows his emotions. He shows his emotions when he looks at the rocks his mom gave him and when he takes out the items of his suit case. The items inspired Bud because they were his mom’s. Bud has emotional feelings when it comes to everyone in his family and even when it comes to his grandpa, Herman Calloway who is distressed when it comes to talking about Bud’ s mom.
Bud escaped his foster homes just to escape to who he thinks is his father but really is his grandpa. I know this because Bud escaped from a garage full of bees with hope surging through him knowing he still had a family. He also escaped other homes to go to what he thinks is his dad, Herman Calloway. Bud is a great boy with great courage when it comes to his family. I think Bud can achieve many things when it comes to family.

No wait what is this? It’s me and... Firebreath? He is whimpering looking at my dead body... wait am I dead? No I can’t be dead. I must be dreaming... “ What was that dream about?” I asked myself when I woke up. I looked out the window at Firebreath ready to take me to school. I quickly got dressed and jumped out the door.
I landed safely on Firebreath’s back and he blew fire in all directions(that's why he is called Firebreath) and flew full speed to my school. I chuckled softly. The wind felt like a soft pillow and I got sleepy. I immediately was alarmed when I heard the sound of the Sky Police riding to criminal scenes. I watched as they took a criminal to jail but suddenly the criminal threw a ball and smoke poured into my eyes. I couldn't,t see! This was the high tech smoke bombs the people created for battles against the people on Earth. It was an advanced trick the people of Sky Planet used after abandoning Earth. Now only some people still live on Earth and plan to destroy us and take our people hostage in their planet. When the smoke faded there was no criminal to see go to jail. I got really sad. As you can see reader, I get to see these criminal acts every day on my way to school. They are very exciting. This particular one was the only one I watched where a criminal escaped.
I met my friends Joe, Amber, Lote and Trip in the school yard. “ My dad bought me a Pegasus called Strongspeed.” said Trip, “ I bet you can’t buy someone like him.”
“ What did you say? Did you just say I’m poor?” replied Joe in a cool tone.
“ Stop arguing! I just heard a robber escaped the Elite team of Sky Police. But I’d prefer to be in that scene then with you guys arguing so shut your mouths!” said Amber. So much for preferring to have smoke in your eyes. Today is probably going to be a rough day. I thought.
“Ring, Brring, Ring” the school woke up and it became live once again. The same every morning. The kids floated two inches above the ground. They looked like floating wizards looking for an ancient spell. The only real wizard in the school was Wiz. Zozy. He helped the people that got hurt or didn’t feel good. Its kind of like doctors on Earth but wizards in Sky Planet are able to make really cool potions. As I floated with my friends I saw the biggest kid in my school. He was the meanest bully in the school. When I first came to this school, I entered and 3 seconds later there was a hole in the wall and I was not in the school anymore. But now I have some very good friends. When I first met up with Trip, he vowed that he would always protect me as my bodyguard, and I blushed.
As I floated through the hallway the bully approached us and towered over us. I felt like a field mouse compared to the size of this dragon. Right when the bully started to raise his fist Trip was not there. I heard his voice on the other side of the hallway. “ Save me! Save me!” Then Joe’s body was gone. Only his head stuck out of the ground. Lote started to bow down to the bully. Amber looked like someone stole her most precious jewel.
“Leave us alone!” She chanted, the bully had a sarcastic smile, then Amber was down in the ground like Joe. I started to panic! The school started to feel like a jail. All the kids were chanting.
“Fight! Fight!” Was all I heard besides the laughter of the bully. No wait, bullies! I ran as fast as possible. Then everything turned black.
“What is this? A jewel? No its round. an orb!” I woke up and saw myself in my own house. Next to me were my friends. “I'm sorry.” said Trip. I looked in the mirror and saw my face all... black. Then I looked at Joe. He had a scar going right down his face like a red shooting star. I shivered. I wonder what else was install for us.
The next day I saw myself in, wait woods? I looked around. These woods looked exactly like the woods in my dream. I walked around. I suddenly felt hungry. “Boo!” said a voice. My stomach did a somersault. I looked behind me. It was Trip! Behind him was Joe, Amber and Lote.
“ Joe brought us here.” said Lote. Joe nodded his head.
“ I brought you here because... I don’t know.” Joe said.
“Do you know the way back?” asked Trip suddenly looking disappointed.
I looked around and saw on top of a mountain there was a temple. “ Lets go to that temple” I said pointing at the mountain. We ran as fast as possible. I saw a big dragon above me with tons of other pets. “Firebreath!” I yelled. My friends pets came too. We rode are animals too the temple. I saw something. A figure approached us. It attacked! It was the robber with a dragon. Flames spit into are faces. We flew to dodge and got to the temple. When we got there I saw a... orb! I grabbed it. The robber through this... rat? No, a rat that started to grow to the size of Firebreath. It whacked me and everything felt like a blur. I held on to the orb as tight as possible. Then I blacked out.
I woke up and saw my friends sitting down next to me crying. Firebreath was too. I held the orb to the air and said “ Nothing shall get in my way!” The robber who was in the sky flew off afraid of the orbs power. I felt so relieved and I told my friends “ Nothing shall get in my way because I have courage.”

We have set goals in September and we have been working hard to achieve these goals. Now 2011 has passed and everyone is trying to be get accustomed to the new year. I have had goals in September which are learning about animals, technology and reading more.
My goal of learning more about technology was successfully acheived. I achieved this goal by learning about websites and new shortcuts with the keys on the keyboard. Mrs.Parisi helped me achieve this goal by letting my class use laptops and showed my class websites. We are able to learn by playing fun math games and typing up biographies and blogs.
Learning about animals was also successfully completed. I did this by looking into books and researching on the computer. My mom helped me by assigning me projects to work on about animals. She also gave me some time to research animals I never known. I really want to learn about animals because I want to be a zoologist when I grow up and I think this will help.
One goal I was so close to achieveing was to read 30 minutes every day. I didn’t achieve this goal because I don’t read 30 minutes every day, only sometimes. Mrs.Parisi always says "Don't be a clock watcher."
A new goal I have is to be more artistic. I am setting this goal because I want to be able to value my work and other people could also value my work. Another new goal I have is to be more honest . I want to be more honest because being honest gets people into less trouble. It also allows people to trust you. Last, a new goal I have is to read directions more carefully. I want to read directions more carefully because I can understand things better. This is a new year that will give me more time to achieve these goals. I am hoping to achieve my goals this year!

Panthers in Long Island

Before panthers lived on Long Island, humans came and destroyed the panthers and as a result, the panther’s food web was destroyed. Now there are to many deer that eat all the grass, the farmers crops and the lawns of people. This has a harsh effect on Long Island wildlife.
Panthers were destroyed on Long Island. People killed the panthers because panthers killed humans.
Panthers were destroyed on Long Island. People killed the panthers because panthers killed humans. If panthers were removed there will be to much chipmunks, squirrels, deer, rabbits and more humans. If there are too much of these their will be too little acorns, grass and oak trees.
Humans could have allowed the panthers to stay but we would not live on Long Island.If panthers did not stay humans would be able to live now.
If we mess with the food web things will go wrong. There will be too much of one animal and what the animal eats will have very little. Like how their are too many deer and less grass. There will be lots of things humans will hunt because their are too much. Like their are too much deer we have to hunt them. There will be very little resources if you mess with the food web. For example there will be too little of one thing and too much of another thing. The food web will be unbalanced if you mess with it.
