I believe that in the short story "The Djinn Who Lives Between Night and Day" the theme is that sometimes it's alright to lie. In the short story Al-faq the djinn told the old man to go to the ocean and live there for the rest of his life and that his family would come home and be safe. He lied to him, but then told another person to go after and him protect him. So in this case it wasn't bad for Al-faq to lie, because it did protect him. It's alright to lie because if you're lying to protect or help someone then you aren't lying to hurt them. In life this works also because if you're lying to protect someone then it's okay; sometimes. It's not okay to lie all the time hurt people. That is the theme of the short story "The Djinn Who Lives Between Night and Day."

My freewrite is going to be about my little niece. Her name is Krisalyn Jadis Welch. She was born July 28th, 2009. She was eight pounds one ounce. Two years later she's got everyone wrapped around her little finger. She's got her daddy wrapped around her little finger, and it'll always be that way.
She's the most spoiled little thing; by both her mommy and daddy. You could be having the most terrible day, and she can come into the room and brighten it up. She's my only niece, and probably the only one I'll have for a while. She loves Dora.
This little girl always has to bring you somewhere. I absolutely adore her. She's got the bluest eyes. Her best friend is her puppy Rolo. She would go more crazy then she already is without that puppy. That is my niece, Krisalyn. (:

A Visual representation of MeI'm Julie, and this is my binder. Jason Aldean is on it because he's one of my favorite singers and my sister and I have a thing between us with him. It's a long story to explain. I also have the book Goodnight Moon by: Margaret Wise Brown on there because it was my favorite book as a child; my grandpa used to read it to me and we were very close before he passed away. On my binder there's also a teddy bear holding a heart. That's on there because it shows that I'm a loving type of person, but only when you get to know me. He's also on there because I mainly felt like coloring. On my binder it has a saying, "Real girls play softball." I've played softball for 7 years this year, and it's more of a passion than a hobby. I have two quotes, "Yesterday's the past, tomorrow's the future, but today is a gift. That's why it's called the present." by: Bil Keane. The other quote is "Never let the fear of striking out; keep you from playing the game." That quote is from the movie 'A Cinderella Story.' The first one to me means that you can't regret or think about the past too much; you can't change how things happened and you shouldn't try to. Then the present, meaning live for today because you don't know if tomorrow will be here. The future part; you never know whats going to happen, so don't try to change it before it even happens. The second quote I believe stands for is don't count yourself out before you've even tried. Thank you for listening to my binder.
