A feminist would celebrate the movie “Million Dollar Baby” .

One reason they would celebrate this text is because the woman (Hilary Swank ) wants to be a boxer. One of the greats but everywhere she turn she is being turned down by ‘big time hot shots’ trainers because she is a girl.

Until she was just about to give up hope she gave it another chance and put her better foot forward . She went to a trainer and demanded that they train her and that she has was it takes to be a boxer even though she is a girl she can keep up with the guys.

In Conclusion a feminist would celebrate the movie "Million Dollar Baby" because the girl can be like the guys and or could be better.

Mr. Halloway and the Dust Witch

In this book Something Wicked This Way Comes by the author Ray Bradbury. The Dust Witch and Mr. halloway definitely are serious enemies . The first piece of evidence is when Mr. Halloway shot the smiley (wax) bullet out of the gun with the one hand he was able to still use, as the wax bullet pierced the Dust Witches teeth she swallowed it and choked and died on the smile because smile and laughter kills the Dust Witch, thus explaining Mr. Halloways quote “Did she suck the bullet down her throat? Did she choke on my smile! Oh Christ!”

The job or position the dust witch has is known as being the carnival's most powerful villain. The Witch has supernatural powers equal to her hideous appearance. Among other things, she can feel souls and emotions, slow the beating of a heart, and control the movements of other people. Another position of her in the novel, we can think of the Dust Witch as one of Mr. Darks right hand man.

Now as for Mr. Halloways job or position in the novel was of acceptance. In the beginning of the book we met Mr. Halloway as a fifty-four year old man who was a father. He was also known as to not being a very happy mad in the beginning. Mr. Halloway didn’t really see himself as really there just something that gets older and older. When Mr. Halloways heart was being stopped by the Dust Witch he then realized that he needed to accept himself the way he was and not want to go back to his younger years.
The responsibility that the Dust Witch had to go through wasn’t quite a lot but as evil as she is it was hard for her to do. Being known as one of the most dangerous villain in the carnival her responsibility really is to be what she is scary, not one to mess with. But in the novel she struggles with people. She has a soft spot for a lot and that lets her guard down. This makes her very vulnerable to whatever may happen next. When that does happened that was the time that allowed Mr. Halloway to step in and kill her with the smiley bullet.

The responsibility of Mr. Charles Halloway was to find and accept himself and to save the two boys Will and Jim from the danger that they got themselves into. In also doing all of this he had gotten the courage and self acceptance to shoot the Dust Witch with that smiley bullet thus killing her and finding him in the world. He becomes a fighter in his own right by the end of the novel, along with gaining the admiration, love, and friendship of his son. The love and admiration that he needed to finally realize who and what he was.

At the end of the novel we see what and how these two characters really are the same. Though the Dust Witch accepted herself she still had a soft side. As for Mr. Halloway in the beginning of the novel went from not knowing himself to realizing who he was. The only thing these two characters really had in common was killing. The Dust Witch killing people with her powers and Mr. Halloway killing the Dust Witch with a smiley bullet.

The 11th month of every year and only contains 30 days. What are we talking about……….NOVEMBER! The time of the month when we get together and have the feast of our life.

It is also the time when football workout starts for the new season, every Monday, Tuesday and Thursday. So if you want to play football come on up to the Montrose school at 3:00 to 5:15 on those three days. We need as many players as possible so if you have played in recent year or just want to try it out try out for Meteor football.

Also what’s right around the corner is Ski Club and our first ski trip to Sno Mountain on December 22, 2011. Soon enough I'll be shredding the mountains and the down hill slopes in PA. Miss Transue and Sam look so much alike like if I would have bet money on it I would have put it down on them being family.

Mace Trap Racer

In my invention of the mouse trap racer I use a couple items to build with. I used a piece of wood (Pine) 4 metal eye let screws, 1 large Mc Donalds straw, 1 mouse trap,a 10 inch piece of copper rod, 2 wooden

dowels, 4 normal sized CD's, 4 cd adapters ot attach the CD to the wooden dowel, a 3 foot long piece of fishing line, 4 rubber ballons. a metal bumber i used to go all the way around the car, heat. sotter and 1 brass

finishing nail. I put this together in maney steps for my mouse trap car to make it around the corner. 1st i cut the wood into a piece that is 10 inches long and 5 inches wide then i used my pencil to draw a box on the

wood to cut out for where the string is going to wind up on the wooden dowel held by the brass finishing nail. After that I will cut out the box wiht a hack saw, next i will put the wheels on but first i need to put on the 4

metal eye lets positioned under the car the rear wheel will be placed at the back of the car where I recently have cut out the box and the front wheels will be placed 2 1/2 inches back from the front of the car. Now i wil

screw in the 4 metal eye lets in specific places at the end and 2 1/2 inches back from the front then I will screw them in so they are at the same height. Now i will attach the 4 wheel adapters to the 4 CDs and put a dab

of hot glue on the the two so they dont no move. Next i am gonna put the wooden dowel through the two eyelets and then then attach the wheels I repeat the precedure for the front to. Now I must take the Mc Donald

straw and cut it down so it fills up the space of both side of the axle so the axel dont't move freely going down the track i repeat this procedure for the front axel and wheels to. Next I will take my mouse trapand

disengage the spring from the copper snapper bar then i will take my 10 inch long piece of copper rod and sotter it to the copper snapper barthen i will re-engagethe spring to the copper snapper bar so no the mouse trap

works properly as it should then I will tap the brass finishing nail into the rear axle now i will put a metal bumper with enough elastic friction the bounce off the 45 degree angle corner and i will make the bumber so it goes

around the 4 CD wheels and the whole car i will use pieces of wooden dowel to glue to the bumper then the car so the bumper is held on there tightly. Next I will hot glue the mouse trap with the sottered copper rod is

attached to the copper snapper bar to the front of the car. Now I will attach the 3 foot piece of fishing line to the 10 inch copper rod and tie and noose at the end of it so the brass fishing nail will wind it up in the axel.

Finally i will take the four rubber ballons snip the ends off them and put the over the CD's from outside in for more friction in between the wheels and the wooded track.
