Golden Rule
Can you even tell the difference between lying, and lying for a good reason? Or do you lie only for personal satisfaction? Even so, in real life, there are many different types of lies. In the story, “The Djinn who Lives in Between Night and Day” there are two main lies. Lying for personal satisfaction, and lying for a good reason. Al-faq lives in between night and day, which is symbolism for good and evil. “He admits he is not worthy of neither blessing nor gratitude because he lied for a good reason” (Rodger 1). Tayab on the other hand, is one who lies for personal satisfaction.
Some people might say any lie is a bad lie and the truth should he told at all times. Some people might think that if you tell lie, then you’ll just get caught and be in even more trouble. In this case, if Al-faq told the truth to the husband, it would be like he isn’t a person at all anymore. He is just another body roaming around because he has no hope and no future. The lie that Al-faq told brought him hope for the future. “I will give you a sign that your wife and children are alive, but you must never speak again. You must never seek the ones you love, for if you find one, then all eight must die” (Rodger 4).Well, the truth doesn’t always need to be spoken. More good can be done by NOT telling the truth.
Everyone lies, or has been lied to at some point in their lifetime. I have a personal experience with a twenty-six year old man who lied like Tayab, where he told a lie to gain personal satisfaction at the expense of others. He told me he wanted to speak alone about my singing and my personality.I don’t even remember what I was thinking at the time, but I said, “Yes.” He took advantage me, and my body. I will never forget that day, no matter how hard I try. At least I know now in the future to not put myself in that situation ever again. It is wrong to trick someone who is innocent to gain personal satisfaction with a lie just as Tayab did with the wife.
The only way the husband and wife could be together again was by believing Al-faq’s lies. The woman and the man would keep their promise to the Angel of The Gate and never speak again. The lie makes the husband feel happy, “The man’s face was wet with tears he smiles wearily. He made a gesture of blessing and gratitude” (Rodger 4). The lie told from Al-faq brought happiness to the husband, and, I’m assuming, the wife. Since this lie was told to do good, this is a lie that is told for a good reason.
There is a difference between, lying, and lying for a good reason. Some people are just too stupid to recognize it. If you lie, are you not worthy of gratitude or blessing? I think if you lie to protect the ones you love, whether there is a good outcome or bad, then you should be blessed and shown gratitude because at least you know you tried.

3rd Person Omniscient
There was a little boy who was roaming around the streets on Halloween night. He was scared and lost. He thought to himself "I'm lost and tired and I am really scared. Maybe I should stop and ask someone to take me home." The boys started walking and a creepy man with a van approched him.
The man thought to himself, "This little boy looks really scared and voulnerable." The man grinned.
The little boy saw the man approaching him, and he was excited to see a grown up! The man said to the boy, "Hey little boy, are you lost? Where are your parents?"
The boy nodded his head, and said "I don't know."
The man smiled. "Would you like to get in my van? I will take you back to my place, we can have a sleep over!! Then in the morning, I will take you to your parents. All you have to do, is get in the van."
The little boy asked himself is he should go with this stranger. His parents always told him not to talk to strangers. The little boy said "I'm sorry mister, I will find my way home. I'm not supposed to talk to strangers."
The man's smile, dissapeared. He said "Come on little boy, I'll take you back to my place and you can have all the candy you could ever want. Just get in the van!!!!"
The little boy thought to himself "Run, just run as fast as you can! Get Out of here!"
3rd Person Limited
It was Halloween Night. It was cold, dark, and snowy, and a little girl was walking with her parents from door to door looking for candy. The little girl thought to herself, "Wow!! Why isnt anybody home?"
When she returned to her parents, they were no where to be seen. The little girl was now frightend. She screamed "MOM!! DAD!!! WHERE ARE YOU?!" But there was no reply. She thought to herself, "Where is mom and dad? I'm scared!!"
When the little girl returned to her home, she found her parents mangled bodies hanging from the ceiling, dripping with blood, stabbed and torn up. The little girl found a note that says "See what you have done? You are a spoiled little girl who takes everything for granted. You thought your parents hated you, but you should know, that your parents are now dead because they tried to protect you. I don't know about you, but that sounds like love to me. Let this be a lesson to you.
Love, Anonymous"
3rd Person Dramatic
It was the day before Halloween and a group of friends heard about an abandoned house. There was a rumor that the house was haunted. The rumor was that a man and a woman and there son lived here.
One day the man was sitting near the fireplace reading the newspaper when all of a sudden, he had a rage that was so firce, that he went into the kitchen and got a knife, and stabbed his wife and kid. After the murders, the man felt so much guilt that he killed HIMSELF with a firepoker. This rumor took place about thirty years ago. The teenagers ignored everyone's warnings, and spent the night in an abondoned haunted house. The the middle of the night, one of the teenagers,a boy named Kyle, heard something down in the kitchen. He went to investigate. When he got down to the kitchen, there was a red fluid on the floor that was not there when they had arrived. The boy was frightend. He went upstairs to tell his friends about what he had seen. Everyone went down the kitchen and found nothing. The boy was freaking out! "It was here!! I saw it! I saw the blood and I think it has something to do with that man who killed his wife and kid, then killed himself!" The kids looked at eachother as if they knew exactly what the boy meant. Everyone became frightend, so they played a game that they found in the house. It was a board game that was supposed to be fictitious, and predicts your death. So they all sat in the living room and played. A boy spun first, and the board said he would be murdered with a pair of sissors that night. All of the kids who had already had their turn, said that they would die on this very night. All predictions that were made, all involved something sharp and dangerous. They all laughed at the game and said it was stupid and they all went back to bed. One by one, each teenager heard something from the kitchen, went down to investigate, and were found slaughtered by a firepoker, and hung from the ceiling.
Sweet Dreams:)

Have you even been put down by a bully? Or have you ever been told you don't matter? What people don't know; is that words CAN heal. The only thing that matters about words, is if you mean them. I never say anything I don't mean.
When something terrible has happend to someone, most people tell that person that they promise everything will be okay. Thats an example of saying something you don't mean. You can't promise anyone that. Because you don't know. That is why I don't say I promise a lot, because when I promise something, I never ever break that promise. When someone insults you, tells you something hurtful, that doesn't mean those words are worth a damn. You are amazing the way you are, you are unique in your own way. There is no one else like you in the entire world. Your beautiful. You shouldn't let anyone tell you diffrent:)
Some words are wise. But just remember someting; just because someone tells you something upsetting, it doesn't always mean it's true. Be happy. Do what I do!! Just Live, Just Laugh, and Just Love:)

Everyone has their moments. My moments, are very very blonde:P I'm gonna tell you about some of my famous blonde moments:) I garantee you won't read this without a smile on your face:)
Blonde Moment #1:
This morning, I was tired. So I sat in my locker. (Yes, I can fit in my locker.) I probably sat their for about 4 minutes, then the bell rang. I went to get out of my locker... And I can't stand up! My hips were to wide, and my friend Kyle M, He saw that I was freaking out, so he offered to help. I accepted. He pulled and he pulled and he pulled, but I would not budge. Finally, Mr. Bart was in a good mood, and he decided to help me. It felt like I dislocated my shoulder Haha. But he got me out:)
Blonde Moment #2:
Last Friday, me and my family went out to this restraunt. As we were about to leave, my mother tells me, "Haley, watch the window." So I turn around, and watch the window. Then my mother says, "Come on Haley, its time to go." I say "But you just told me to watch the window!" Mother says " Haley!! I meant watch the window while you slide out of your chair, so you don't hit it and break it!!" :)
Blonde Moment #3:
This morning, I saw my puppy Maddie, she is a black lab. (Remember, its morning, I'm a little slow:)) I scream "DAD!!!! THERE'S A BEAR IN THE HOUSE!!!!" He runs out of the kitchen and into the living room and sees me staring at Maddie. He says "Haley, thats the dog!!!!" I rub my eyes and say "Oh yeah! You can go back to the kitchen now. Its all good here:)" He was very mad;)
That's me! :) I love my moments. No matter how stupid I feel!!:)

Have you ever looked in the mirror and see someone you didn't recognize? Like, everyday you would fake a smile or a laugh just to make everyone happy, while your just dying and crying inside? Well I have. Everyday it felt like when I tried to reach out, no one could hear me. It's a mask, and I'm NOT just wearing it because Halloween is near.
Ever since I was a little girl, I have been picked on, and made fun of. Everyone used to ask me if my mother had dropped me on my head when I was a baby. Some people STILL ask me that. Well what they don't know is that when I was four months old, I was adopted. My biological parents were really bad people. Mom was a drug addict, alcholic, and a child abuser. So was my biological father. I have three brothers named Michael Arneil, Robert Arneil, and Jacob Arneil. I have a grandmother named June, and a grandfather named Ron. Micheal, Bobby, and Jake live with them. The only reason my grandparents didn't take me in was because ALL my brothers knew, was hitting. When my mom was pregnant with me, she took drugs and drank alchohol. That is why I act different than normal people. I am hyper, annoying, and I have a short attention span.
For all of you people who bully kids for being different, for all of you kids who made my life miserable, you think I asked to be this way? No. I used to hate myself before I knew the truth. But, now that you know my story, maybe, JUST maybe, when you see a kid that used to be like me, you stop and think about this story before you go and make fun of them. And just so you know, I'm glad you people made fun of me. Because if you didn't then I wouldn't be the person I am today. So thank you.
STOP BULLYING NOW!!

There is no feeling like it. Once I start, I can't seem to stop. When I sing, It feels right. Like, I know this is where I'm supposed to be. When I'm singing, I don't have to be someone I'm not. This is me, and I love it. Its the best feeling in the world as you are on the stage and you had just finnished a song and you hear the crowd cheering! When I sing, I feel like I belong. Like, I am the star, and people come up to me saying "You are amazing!!!" or "I wanna be like her!" instead of "Your so annoying!" or "Haley, just shut up." I love that feeling of being superier to the other students:) Singing is my life. Sure I get nervous a little bit right before I get on stage. But I overcome it very quickley.

Pay Attention To Me Blog :
Everybody has a favorite song. Whether it is pop, hip-hop or country, everyone has a song that they can relate to most. I have a song. For those of you who think I'm a good singer, then you know I'm going to sing to you in the Talent Show this year. My previous blog says I would be singing, "Since You Been Gone" by Kelly Clarkson, BUT I think I'm reconsidering. I was thinking Meanby Taylor Swift, Because of you by Kelly Clarkson, or Last Friday Night by Katy Perry. Please comment and tell me which song you would like to hear me sing. If you guys have any requests as to what you might like to hear, please comment on this blog, message me on Facebook, or just talk to me in person. Thank you:)

Well I have. Everyday it felt like when I tried to reach out, no one is listening. It's a mask. But I've learned that being myself around my friends, is what makes me happy, makes them happy, and makes everyone feel more comfortable.
