This day free write DO you know anyone who's ever been a soldier? Ever been in war? My inspiration for “This day” was a family friend whose family went through so much but kept fighting. I will not name him or anyone in their family but the mother and father divorced and their son went to war and died in noble pursuit, and that is my inspiration.
