Hj and I are doing a social studies project. It is on the declaration of independence, I have learned a lot about it, like it took 17 days to write it. We also learned that 56 men signed it and they were there when Thomas Jefferson was writing it. I picked this subject because I have always wanted to learn more about the Declaration.

Today we had a 5th grade retreat, it was at our school and we stayed in our gym the whole day. the thing that impacted me the most was when alot of people gave me high fives. (that made my day.) I hope the kindness retreat will start to teach people to make our school the best it can be. I hope that everyone who is reading this enjoyed it, or will enjoy it.

I am Thankful for………
I am thankful for a lot of things but my teacher said I had to narrow it down, so this is my first choice. I am thankful for my food that my parents lay on the table every day. I am thankful for the food because without food I would probably not live. The food my mom and step mom cook every day and it is very good. Even if it did not taste good I would still be grateful for it.
My second choice would be a house. First of all without a house I would freeze to death and that would not be very fun. I am thankful for the bedroom in my house, because I get to sleep in it every night and it is confortable.
The third one is an education. I am thankful for an education because without one I would probably not be writing this right now. It is important to me to have a good education. Thank you to all the teachers of the past for the education that I have.
Last, but not least, it has to be my family. I am thankful for my family because without one I would be alone. My family helps me through everything. My parents are very important to me. I am also thankful for my sisters and my brothers too.

Over MEA Break I made a giant fort at my mom’s it was inside. We used bed sheets and clothespins and a little tape and after that we got some snacks and watched some movies then we fell asleep in it. We rented a lot of movies. My favorite movie was Swiss Family Robinson. At my Dad’s house, we went to my grandpa’s. First we went to Fleet Farm and got a puzzle there. Then we went to the kernel to. eat me got pancakes and eggs. Last but not least we went to cash wise to get cookie dough we got peanut butter and chocolate chip. It is kind of a tradition at my Grandpa’s. We got home and we did the puzzle that we got at Fleet Farm. It was a picture of a fair. It had one thousand puzzle pieces. We were baking cookies at the same time as when we were doing the puzzle. It was cool! Then I went back to my mom’s and we watched the football game.

My WEATHERING PROJECT
BY: WP
Our weathering park shows the three forces the three forces are wind, water, and temperature. See if you can find examples in the Diagram and my story.
The green pine trees grow tall. They develop deep roots. They can live for a long time. They get very tall and green when they are done developing.
After a while some parts of the mountain fall to the ground. In the picture a bunch of rocks and trees fell. And caused a big pile of trees and rocks, and made a big mess.
AFTER MORE TIME ALL THE STUFF BROKE INTO A BUNCH OF PIECES. IT MADE A DIRT HILL AND A BIG MESS. IF IT RAINS IT MIGHT MAKE A BIG MUDY MESS.
MY WEATHERING PARK WINDOW SHOWS DIFFERENT FORCES BROKE DOWN THE CLIFF. IT DID THIS WITH WIND. WEATHERING IS A POWERFUL AGENT THAT CHANGES THE EARTHS SURFACE.

I had alot of fun and there was a lot of stuff to see! We got to go in side a tipi, It was good because it started to pour but we did not get poured on because we were inside it. :)
