My weathering Park
My Weathering Park shows the three forces of weathering. The three forces are wind, water, and temperature. See if you can find examples in the diagram and my story.
The green pine trees grow tall and develop deep roots. The cliff starts to erode and gets bigger and bigger. The rocks expand and break down.
Rocks, plants, and trees are falling down fast. The temperature changes and the rocks fall because they get to dry. The rocks pull down the trees and they collapse all together.
The wind carries the rocks and trees and makes them crash together and break even more. They became tiny pieces called sediment. The temperature gets warmer and everything goes back to normal.
My Weathering Park window shows how different forces broke down the rock. It did this with Water. Weathering is a powerful agent that changes the earth’s surface.
