The Specs Not Seen With The Human Eye

Article posted February 21, 2012 at 11:28 PM GMT • comment • Reads 789

So far in this unit we have seen protists and multiple other micro-organisms the best part about this is that we can have as much fun with the labs and other things we have seen instead of just read about it in text books. The worst thing is that we don't get to do the labs very often. What I have learned about this unit is that seeing the organisms in the microscope have made me very interested in the subject of micro-science.

In the purple book

Near the brownish colored door

Within the yellowish box

Over your round head

In my big, black, pink shoe

On the whitish wall

Beneath the boring desk

Among us

Bewtween all of us

Except in the big fat reading book

Within the thin wall

For all of us

Near our teenage years

Around the small room

Above the white smart board

Crank

Article posted February 8, 2012 at 01:39 AM GMT • comment • Reads 740

Lately I have been reading a book called Crank by Ellen Hopkins. What I am enjoying about the book is the format it is written. The format it is written in a poem like format. The character's name is Kristina early on in the book though she says her name is Bree to this guy named Adam so she is refered to Bree for the rest of the book.

Panina In The Hole Climax

Article posted January 31, 2012 at 12:13 AM GMT • comment • Reads 756

When the door of the little house she was astonished by what she saw. When she saw a centaur open the door she thought she was going to faint. She asked the centaur if should go into her house. By the way the centaur's name was Brianna. Brianna let her go in and asked her "How did you appear into our world? Why did you come to my house?" Panina answered "I fell into a hole in the bend of a tree. I came to your house, because it was the only house within miles." Brianna thought that was nonsense. She knew there were about 15-20 houses on her way to the Brianna's house. She decided to let Panina explain herself over tea. While Panina and Brianna had tea Panina explained she was just playing outside while thinking that the bend of the tree was just that instead it was a hole. After Panina asked Brianna if she could stay at her house for the night. Fortunatly Brianna told her that she could. A little bit later Brianna decided that she needed some sleep. She told Panina not to stay up too late. A few minutes later Panina decided to get ready for bed. While Panina was getting ready for bed Panina heard a really weird noise. Panina decided to investigate what it was. When she went downstairs she saw that it was.....

Oh How You Have Inspired Me Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.

Article posted January 20, 2012 at 12:29 AM GMT • comment • Reads 639

The quote I chose this week was "Love is the only force capable of transforming an enemy into a a friend." By Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. What I think it means is that love is the only force that can force you to become friends with someone you never thought you would be friends with. How I could apply it to my life is try to have someone who isn't my friend and try to be friends with them instead of trying to avoid them. How it could be used positively to change someone's attitude is by saying you know instead of not trying to be friends consider this quote and see how you can apply it to your life. I would also think that one day when someone doesn't have any friends or they need help and while you're helping them try to get to know them better you think you know them instead of just assuming what you know about that person. It can make an impact on the world by people joining together and becoming one instead of being multiple. We should try something different everyday in our lives, because we only live once.

Wiki, WOW!!!!

Article posted January 6, 2012 at 01:34 AM GMT • comment • Reads 794

Working on the wiki went great. The way it worked in our group was different, because one of our people that was in our group was in Louisiana and was a lot harder that way. The communication in our group was effective. What went well was getting our video done on time. Some things we could have done differently were trying to get more work done everyday that we had the time to do it. Some ways to improve the project for next year’s students is maybe add a thing where it a quote that the poet made at the top under the poet’s name.

GO SPARTA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Article posted December 9, 2011 at 11:08 PM GMT • comment (1) • Reads 1414

What I know about ancient Greece is that Alexander the Great cut the gordian knot. I also know how Sparta defeated the person empire with only 300 men to begin with. I also know about some of the Greek gods.

What we're doing in Humanities right now for ancient Greece is memorizing the Greek alphabet and other things as well as learning ancient Greek quotes made by ancient Greek philosophers. Team Sparta is my polis. High five to all Spartans. GO SPARTA. Sp-Ar-Ta Sparta Ya.

Panina In The Hole Continued

Article posted December 1, 2011 at 10:58 PM GMT • comment • Reads 1441

After Panina fell in the hole and realized she was in some fantasy world she thought that maybe she was just hallucinating about this fantasy world. Eventually after she figured out she wasn't hallucinating she stood up and tried to keep her balance but it seemed like in this other world she was just not able to keep her balance. When she couldn't keep her balance she just decided that instead of trying to walk in this fantasy land that she should just crawl instead. After she decided to start crawling she said to herself that it would be a good idea to see if she could find anybody in this fantasy. When she was exploring this land she started to see tiny footprints on the ground so she decided to follow them and see where they led to. When she came to the end of the footprints there was a tiny house. She decide to knock on it. When she knocked on she heard a tiny voice say, "Hold on I'm coming". When the door was answered she saw a....

Mysteries, Mysteries Hmm??

Article posted November 11, 2011 at 11:07 PM GMT • comment • Reads 1037

One of the bests mysteries I have ever read was probably Series of Unfortunate Events: The Bad Beginning. The author Lemony Snicket made it to where after every chapter you would want to keep reading and you would always be at the edge of your seat. I just loved this story, because you never knew what was going to happen after.

Johnny runs out of the room. Sara follows. She is following Johnny to figure out what is going to happen to their relationship, but when she turns the cornera creature pops out and drags her against the floor of the hotel. While she is being dragged on the floor she yells "Johnny help me! Johnny!" Johnny hears her cries and starts running in the direction he heard them. But, when he turns the exact  same corner she did he gets dragged against the hotel floor, too. He tires fighting back but the creature's grip gets tighter and tighter. Finally, he is knocked unconscious by hitting his head on some stairs. When he finally reaches consciousness he finds himself in a medal chair next to Sara in a dark room regretting what he said.
