Wow! I can't believe there is only one week of school left of seventh grade. Seventh grade was awesome because of my teachers. They where great and they helped me with whatever I needed. I don't think I succeeded in seventh grade because, I didn't get all A's and I wish that I pushed myself hard to get A's. I learned how to dissect a frog. That was really gross. I also learned that you need to be trying to make friends and meet new people because, having one friend is not very fun. If I could change anything it would be to have pushed myself hard and I would have gotten all A's. Something that I learned the hard way was not studying because, in past grades I could not study and still get a good grade. In eighth grade I'm going to push myself really hard and get all A's. For the next year seventh graders I would recommend that they pay attention in class, be willing to learn, and study before a test.

International Towne was really fun. My job was a disk jockey in Germany.(That was really fun)I learned that working is not just about having fun. If I could change something I would get longer breaks. I would have longer breaks because I didn't have enough time to do anything. I only got three activities done. I would only go back to I-Towne if it was another school thing I would not go for a summer camp. I also think that I-towne was not worth 35 dollers.

Wow I can't belive that is is over. I am happy with the grade I got because I worked really hard on it. My guiding question is How did the Roman Goddess influence the Ancient Roman people?
The answer is...
Men would devote their lives to marring her but Diana would never marry.
Pregnant women would pray to her for an easy delivery. The most interesting part about Diana I learned was that Diana was the goddess of child fertility, and when Diana was born she caused her mother no pain. After she was born she turnd around and helped her mother give birth to her twin brother Apollo. So now Diana wil help women give a quick and easy birth or a fast death to a dying mother giving birth.
A really cool thing I learnd was that in Ancient Egypt the Egyptians would worship cats. This persons posterboard was really cool it had color and lots of facts. Another thing is someone did their project on Roman archetechture. Their museum display was really cool. They made the Roman Collesseum out of clay.

My project is about The Roman Goddess Diana she is equivalent to the Greek goddess Artemis. Diana is the goddess of the hunt, moon, and child fertility. Reaserching her has not really changed the way I act in life because, the only way that the Ancient Romans worshiped her is the woman would pray to her for an easy delivery and they had a festival called Nemoralia which literally translates to festival of the torches and on Nemoralia hunting and killing are forbidden.

Ewww Chicken Wings!

I did not like to dissect the chicken wings. My team made me do all of the dissecting and it was really gross. I got blood on my gloved fingers and the wing smelled really bad. Even though I didn't like dissecting the chicken wing I'm exited to dissect a frog because I think it will be more fun and cooler than just a chicken wing. I mean I've handled chicken wings before when I was helping my mom cook. With the chicken wing people made a big deal about it then I started to make it a big deal, so I think that's what made it worse for me. This time though when we dissect a frog I won't let it get to me.

I am going to do a happy poem. My poem is called;
"Happy Forever"
I like to be happy
being happy is the best thing you can do
being happy lets others be happy
to be happy you can't dwell on the bad
things that has happend
I know i'ts hard but
to truly be happy you need to let go of the past
and move forward with your life
you will never get anything done if you let the
past influence you forever
so be happy and smile even at the people
you don't like very much
who knows you could be best friends
with them someday.

Intagrating What Do You Think?

If I was going to integrate I would not have the strength or even the courage to say I'm going to integrate into a white school. If I did have the courage to do even that I would come home every day crying because of whats happened. I don't know how Ernest Green did it but all I know is that he was very brave to do that. When I watched this movie I cried a lot because it was so sad and at the end I was happy because Ernest made it and he graduated and I was glad that he didn't give up even when he thought all hope was lost.

I picked a quote about friendship. "Nothing changes your opinion of a friend so surely as success -yours or his."
Friends influence decisions
They help you if you're right or wrong
They stick with you from beginning to end
in good or bad
a true friend never lets you down
you can always count on them
and put your faith in them
friends are there to cry to
and they will forever be by your side.

Science and Cells!

Science has been really fun. The coolest thing that’s happened is learning how cells reproduce and the reason why I thought this was interesting is because they split in half and that is how they get duplicates of the cell. Another interesting thing is that cancer is when cells divide and reproduce uncontrollably. I also know that bacteria cells don’t have nucleoid and viruses are like parasites because they both require a host to survive. Antibiotics are useless against viruses. One more thing, a prokaryote lacks a nucleus and a eukaryote has a nucleus.

This is my poem:
"The Worm"
About half an inch
inside the apple
through the swaying red bridge
above the rolling green hills
across the ocean
against the breeze on a new years eve
around the trunk
without the apple no worm
inside the apple
about half an inch
That is my poem don't ask me where I got the idea from but I just felt like doing a poem about a worm in an apple.

My book I am currently reading is called "Circle of Magic" by Tamora Pierce. I really like my book it is about four kids who can do magic and they are learning how to use their powers. My book is full of excitement and adventure. The only bad thing about it is that sometimes the book seems to drag and get boring, but other than that this book is really good and I love it. My book is the third book out of four books and I’m exited to read the last book. I am exited because it will tell you about the most interesting character in the book. His name is Briar and his past is really interesting I think that you should read these books.

Even though I sometimes don't like science I think that it's very important because, today we learned about germs and if we didn't have science we wouldn't know about germs and how they get spread.
With out science we would not have all the medicine and anti-bacterial things to keep us safe. Without science we would still be dieing at the age of 30. Thanks to science we have medicine and we live to the age of 80-98.

The title probably gave you a hint as to what I am writing about, this quote from Martin Luther King Jr. "Love is the only force capable of transforming an enemy into a friend." I really like this quote. You should always love your enemies. you have seen in so many movies where the good guy tried to show his enemy compassion but the enemy refused. You have also seen in movies where the enemy took that compassion and love and became friends with the good guy. I just want to say just because they are your enemy don't just start to hate them give them a chance and show them compassion because everyone deserves a chance. Just like my mom she was threatened to be beat up in middle school but in high school she was best friends with them.

New Year Goals!!!

I haven really thought about the new year but as Mrs. Lubich said now is a good time to start. So my first goal is to get all A's this semester. My second goal is to find a french horn and trombone duet because my brother plays the trombone and he has been gone for two years in Italy and the reason why it's so important to get a duet is because my brother left before I started playing an instrument. So it will be very exiting to finally get to play with him. now my third goal for this year is to start seeing my sister more. She only lives 15 min away from my house but ever since I joined color guard I haven't been able to see her as much but we found out that we will be able to see each other every Thursday so I'm really exited for that.

The poetry wiki was really fun but I admit that sometimes I didn't want to go and do the poetry. I thought that it was really cool to be able to talk, communicate, and work with people from Louisiana. I didn't like how you would decide something for the group then a group member just decided something totally different and you can't do what you want to do. For example I told the group six times that I was going to record the first two stanzas of the poem but when I came back the next day a group member had already done it so I ended up doing the middle of the poem. Other than that I thought that the poetry was fun.

Greek Stuff!!

There are five Greek city-states which are, Athens, Sparta, Argos, Corinth, Megra. Megra wouldn't take sides with the Athens or the Spartans so the Spartans declared war on the Athens. I know that Sparta was a brutal city-state. They would take young boys and start to train them to be warriors.
In class we put 3 goals on a paper and then Mrs. Gagnon looked at them and decided how many points each team member gets. Then we had to make a logo, a cheer, and a hand shake. Then we had to present them to the class and we got points for that too.

I think I'm going to write about Christmas. I want to write about it because it's a joyful and fun holiday.
during Christmas you do get presents and that is probably what most people look forward to during Christmas. There is another thing to look forward to it is the giving away of the presents. I really enjoy giving presents to my family and seeing how happy it makes them and it makes me happy to know that I can make my family happy.

Here are just a few things I am thankful for.
I am thankful for my family because, if I didn't have my family I really wouldn't be here right now. My family is everything to me they feed me and pay for my clothes and a place for me to live. The second thing I am thankful for are my friends. I am thankful for my friends because they will understand things that no one else can understand. The third major thing I'm thankful for is my brother, my brother is my hero. He helps me in everything and he is always there for me. My brother is always willing to help and go beyond what you asked for. He is always out there doing the right thing. As you can see I am most thankful for my family.

I think that blogging is awesome. I really like how we do this instead of writing on paper assignments. I really like to blog so other people can see my blogs, and I like to see other people's blogs to.I think blogging is really fun, it's a lot more fun than actual writing assignments. I also like blogging because, you can express your feelings. One other reason I like to blog is because, you don't have to keep track of a loose leaf paper and most the topics we are given are fairly easy to blog about.

A NEW PLANET!!!

Did you know that Scientist have found a new planet. Wow, a planet that can support life and I think this is really cool that we have the technology to find new planets in our universe and in other universes. I hope that we will find life on this planet or that it will be able to support life. Although I would not want to be shorter and squatter because, the gravitational pull is a little more than the Earths. What’s also cool is that the sun is 1,800 degrees cooler than our sun; a year on the planet is 60 days so I would be a lot older than I am now, this planet would be hot and humid with temperatures ranging from 85 to 120 degrees.

Only in the ocean can you feel intimidated a shark or a little fish even the smallest things can scare you. Only in the ocean you can swim with a whale or a dolphin. Only in the ocean you can glide across the sea floor weaving you way through the seaweed. Only in the ocean you can see a different world of wonder. Only in the ocean you can look down apoun thousand of feet of water till you meet the ocean floor with out falling. Only in the ocean you can dance with the great beasts of the sea. Only in the ocean you can be filled with light and be swallowed into the darkness of the sea at the same time. Only in the ocean you can be safe and vulnerable at the same time, and only in the ocean you can be free and stopped all at once.

The scariest thing that happend to me was the time I almost drown. I was at a summer day care and they took us swimming at the down town pool. That is the pool where it gets 11 1/2 feet deep. So I started to swim around and I decided to swim to the bottom of the pool and by the time I swam all the way down I needed air really bad. Then I started to swim up and all of asudden a boy jumped right on top of me sending me down to the bottom of the pool and I was a little dizzy and I just felt like staying down there and dying but I decided not to and I swam to the surface.

This so called math that these old people are doing is just plain wrong. First, they where adding wrong and you need to know how to add to do a simple problem like that or else your not going to get anything right. There was a person doing the math right but the people doing the math wrong thought still thought they were rite. These videos were very funny because, we know how to do math but the other people didn't.
