My quote that speaks to me is “Life shouldn’t be measured by the breaths you take, but by the moments that take your breath away.”
-Maya Angelou
Life is precious
One day it me not be there
So life to the fullest
And don’t have regrets
When you look back smile because of the wonderful things
Don’t cry because of the bad
Because when it’s all said and done and you’re gone
Your life will be beautiful
And spectacular
So don’t miss a moment
That could take your breath away

In science this quarter we have been learning about micro organisms. It has been a lot of fun but some parts were pretty disgusting. For example, the tiny shrimp we looked at was probably the ugliest thing I have ever seen. Studying single celled organism was really interesting and I learned a lot!

Out the door
Past all the people
Beneath the blue sky
Among the trees
Under the canopy
Across the river
Over the rainbow
Down the hill
Durring the storm
By the rocky stream
Beside the lake
Around the ditch
Across the road
Inside the door
To grandmothers house we go

This weekend I went to go see “The Vow”. “The Vow” is about a husband and wife that get in a car crash and after the wife wakes up from a comma she can’t remember anything for the past five years. To make things worse she can’t remember meeting her husband, Keith so Keith has to figure out how to make his wife to fall in love with him again.

Poetry Tools

Poetic “tools” are use to make the readers see and imagine things wail they’re reading. Some poetic tools are personification and rhyme. Personification is when the writer gives a nonhuman thing human like abilities. For example, a poet may use a pencil in his poem and say it danced across the paper but pencils cannot dance he/she just makes it seem that way. Rhyme is a poetic “tool” that entertains and keeps the reader interested. Rhyme is when the end of two words that sound the same. For example, “The Cat in the Hat” is a rhyming poem. Poetic “tools” are very important to a poem because without them poetry would be boring and dull.

"Believe you can and you're halfway there." Theodore Roosevelt.
I think that this quote means that if you believe in yourself you can get a lot farther than you think you can. If I surround myself with people that believe in me I will be able to do anything. This can be used to make a change in someone’s attitude because success over time helps people think positively. This can change our world by encouraging the world’s leaders to work together.

In 2012 I hope to grow academically and spiritually. I hope to get all my homework in on time because this proves a great challenge. It also shows that I take my classes seriously and I value the work I do. I hope to grow spiritually by attending church every Sunday and praying. By treating my friends like I would like to be treated I will grow as a person.

We haven’t learned a whole lot about Greece but we have learned about the gods and goddesses of ancient Greek mythology. Some of them are Corinth, Megara and Argos.
In our class our team (Corinth) we had to pick a tune to sing the Greek alphabet to so we chose Baby by Justin Bieber but apparently we weren’t supposed to choose a song that Mrs. Gagnon didn’t know so we will have to choose a different song. We have also made a logo and chant to go along with our group.

Why do you think that mysteries have been popular throughout the centuries? I got the idea for my blog from one of Mrs. G’s assignments.
I think that mysteries are still popular after 100 years or so because you can read a mystery story over and over and still find something new about it. Mysteries will always keep you interested because you’re on the edge of your seat and what to know what happens next.
