Article posted May 16, 2012 at 03:33 AM GMT • comment • Reads 803

I am so proud of myself for making it through another year in middle school!! This year was kind of a challenge for me because most of my friends werent on my team:( I made new friends and bonded a ton with my other friends! This year for me was pretty successful except for in spanish... I stayed brillant!! Hahaha:) Some things I learned the hard way are you have to study to get a good grade and NEVER miss school. In 8th grade I want to be with ALL my friends and try really hard and succeed in EVERYTHING!!! Dear 7th graders of next year,
do NOT skip class cuz you think it's cool ( I never did) because once your in detention it wont be so cool ( I never got detention). Also, PAY ATTENTION IN CLASS!! You will not be classified a nerd if you are successful... I mean look at me!!!! hahahaha . And remember, stay in school, saggy pants are NOT cool, and be nice to your grandma.. she cant help that she is old and wrinkley:) Good-bye:)

I-Towne

Article posted May 10, 2012 at 03:06 AM GMT • comment • Reads 731

The I-Towne experience for me was so amazing! I got to visit countries all around the world,(a room but they are almost the same thing!) and experience what a real job would be like in an office! I had so much fun! At first i was really nervous because a ton of my friends from different teams said that th UK(my country) went into debt because no one bought the newspaper. I was scared until we sold all of our 39 newspapers and found out that we gained money and stayed out of debt!! I had loads of fun doing my job because I got to travel even if it was not my break and talk to everyone! I love to talk so I feel like this job was perfect for me! I would nopt change a thing from I-Towne because I loved all of it! I already mentioned that being a reporter in general was my favorite part because I love to talk to people and I love to move around!!

Fair!!

Article posted May 10, 2012 at 02:55 AM GMT • comment • Reads 535

World history effects us today because it is important to the country and nation to see what amazing things makes up our amazing world! The most interesting part about my project was how smart and clever Greeks and people in general were way back then. I guess they didnt wast brain cells on tv so that probably made them smarter. What also impressed me was how fast they built, revised, and did their plan. If I was incharge of that plan it would take me ages to even come up with a name for the plan let alone the plan in itself in under 3 weeks.
In other peoples projects I got jealous because they were so good!! Most everyone worked so hard and I learned so much from everyones projects! Some things I learned from other peoples projects were thataquaducts were very important in the ancient times and that most important ancient buildings were ofter built over and over again because they were so old. I learned to much to fit in just one blog!! The World History Fair was super fun!

Seedfolks!!

Article posted May 10, 2012 at 02:40 AM GMT • comment • Reads 532

I actually enjoyed Seedfolks. I thought I was not going to like the book at first but once again I was reminded to not judge a book by its color. I think that the book was about bringing a community together and how much a simple garden can change people and bring people close together.I personally like the last person they mention in the book. I forgot her name but I think that she liked the garden the most mainly because of how much she watched it and missed it when it was gone for the winter. My favorite activity that we did was painting the rocks! i liked that activity because we got to choose what we painted on the rock and it was a fun thing to do!

Trojan Horse

Article posted April 24, 2012 at 11:06 PM GMT • comment • Reads 657

My topic for the World History Fair Project was created by me of course!!!! I really like Greece so that was a no brainer and for my 3d part I wanted to recreate something. So at first I was going to do catapults, but when I tried to find a specific war when the Greeks specifically used it I couldnt find one. I give up easily so I looked up "Greek Wars" on gale and the first thing that popped up was the Trajan War, and thats when I relearned about the Trajan War and all about the Trojan Horse. I personally am so glad that the research portion is finished and I am so excited to finish my 3D presentation and poster board!! I have already answered my question so that part of the project is finished and I think that I am ready except for the final touches. I am really looking forward to letting you guys see what I have created!!

Chicken! Ewwwww

Article posted April 11, 2012 at 02:00 AM GMT • comment • Reads 563

I have not dissected the chicken wing because I was gone the day we did that and I hope that I can do that soon! I hope that with this experience we can learn more about the human body and how it works. I personally am not super excited for the frog dissection because I love animals all shapes and sizes! I feel so bad for the dead frogs that have to be cut open after they die:(. I have learned that the human body is a very complicated system and that if even one thing is wrong then some of your body does not work right. The human body has many systems that can be hard to follow and a ton of vocabulary that I can never remember! Oh well!

Little Rock Nine

Article posted March 21, 2012 at 12:33 AM GMT • comment • Reads 593

When we watched The Earnest Green Story it made me really sad to see good people get hurt. I would have been one of the few people to stick up for them because that is just the right thing to do and I know that. I think that most discrimination today has been eliminated but we are not perfect, so of course there are a couple instences where discrimination rules, but in some places there is no trace of this. Personally I cant imagine anyone wanting to hurt anyone like this but unfortunataly this has happened. I just hope that this never happens as severe as before.

I Wish Poem:
I wish I was a butterfly
Out in the meadow floating free
Passing by with no one to see me
I wish I was a snowflake
So unique and floating free
Out in the world
Where there is no one like me
Mood poem:
I'm funny,
Not comedian funny
But funny enough
and when I try to be funny
I get sad
Sad because when I try to be funny
It turns out Im not finny at all

Those are just two of 8 of my amazing poems! Enjoy!

Everyone that knows me knows that I love to quote!!! One of my favorite quotes is " Life is only as great as you make it out to be" I dont exactly know who wrote this quote because I heard it in science and was so busy writting it down I accidentally missed who wrote it:( I love this quote because it is inspirational and I think it could speak to anyone if they truly thought about what the quote means:)
Quote Poem:
Quotes help me express
with other peoples words
it helps me decompress
like flying with the birds
to get another quote
makes me soar in the sky
like a great big eagle
flying way up high

My favorite part about science right now is all the labs and fun competetions we have been having to get ready for the test. My least favorite part has been the notes.

The Ceiling

Article posted February 17, 2012 at 02:02 AM GMT • comment • Reads 675

My poem is about the ceiling. I did my poem about the ceiling because it was an easy topic and it follows me so I dont have to go to a specific stop to write about it.

Up on top
of this big old box
over the tall grassy hills
above the winding walls
to open and close
off  the poluted world
against the wild wind
past the wide windows
along the halls
for us way
over here
for you all the way
over there
inside this musty old building
over the tall chairsalong the wide walls
past the grassy hills
to sheild us
from the blinding sun
during the long day
at this big old school.

Book!!!!

Article posted February 12, 2012 at 09:21 PM GMT • comment • Reads 608

I'm reading Dial L For Loser by Lisi Harrison. This book is about girl clique's and what can go wrong in them. I love how the writer describes each charater with extreme detail. I also love how the writer gets you into the charaters thoughts and insecurites and it just reminds you that it does not matter what you wear or how pretty you look because noe of us are perfect. I would only recomend ths book to girls my age and i dont recoment guys reading this book because its all about girls.

The poets add thier emotions and personal thoughts into their poems. They add what they think about what they see then add thier fuuny words and hard to understand meanings. Their "tools" are their are their fancy words and fancy meanings.( By fancy words I mean long and difficult to understand words and definitions)

QUOTES!!!!!!!!!!!

Article posted January 20, 2012 at 03:11 AM GMT • comment (1) • Reads 973

"Believe you can and your halfway there." Is an amazing quote. It is not only true but helps you stay positive and I believe in the quote wholeheartly.

To me this  quote means that if you believe in yourself then you are halfway to achieving your goal. I can apply this in my life by thinking more positive and believing that I can do what I want. This can impact another persons life buy making them believe that they have what it takes to acomplish their goals. This could influence the world by helping people stay positive.

I quote a lot and people that know me know that I quote from everything and I really love this quote because it is inspirational. I quote because people have come up with amazing things to say that truly change people in how they look at life, and I want to make people stop and think about how they can change people to.

I don’t know a lot about Greece just that they did mythology . I also know that they made legends like Hercules . I also know that they were in Rome and believed in many gods and goddesses.

In class right now my team is Athens=http://!! My group made up an awesome handshake and chant and I think our logo rocks=http:// My group needs to come up with a song to go with the greek alphabet. We are pretty stuck on memorizing it but we will get there [hopefully=http://]

The Broncos in my opinion have been doing awesome this year!!! People have doubted   the Broncos in the past but this year is their year to shine. I really hope that the Broncos make it to the Super Bowl not only because that would be awesome for them but also because if they do make it, my dad wouldn’t miss it for the world. Also, I think it would make Mr. Howard flip out!!

Creepy Story

Article posted November 9, 2011 at 02:54 AM GMT • comment • Reads 602

The best mystery I have ever read was in 4th grade when I read Hugo, or something like that. (I can never remember the title) The author,  ( don’t know his name either) made the story very slow and like you needed to read the next part or the world would end!!!! Hahahaha!
Ok here is my starter for a mystery....... The room was dark and I was freezing in that corner. I wanted so badly to get a drink of water that I was going insane, but I knew I couldn't, that thing across the room was starring at me like a hawk and hadn't stoped watching me  since 3 hours ago when it came. The urge to get water got stronger, and I knew that soon I would have no choice but to make a break for the kitchen. ....... Good?!? No?!?

To Always Remember

Article posted November 4, 2011 at 03:00 AM GMT • comment • Reads 1508

My strongest paragraph was the first because I spent a lot of time on it. Don't be too harsh!!!

Some remember the little things like that Saturday you got to spend with your big sis or that day you got to spend with your dad. Others remember the happy big things like college your first car or your first christmas. Most remember the tragic big events like 9/11, a death, World War 1, World War 2, Pearl Harbor. one thing we forget is to always remember.

So......? watcha think???

Watchers

Article posted October 17, 2011 at 02:51 AM GMT • comment (2) • Reads 1756

I usually like to read books, but lately I have not “clicked” with any books. The last book I read that I loved was a booked called ‘Watchers’. This book is about a boy who is trying to fit in after his dad goes missing. One day when he was coming home from school in the subway and he was already having a bad day… anyway they passed an old train stop station and everything froze! Then… well you will just have to read it yourself! Hahahahahaha

Fox Run Park

Article posted October 5, 2011 at 06:06 PM GMT • comment • Reads 1659

In my opinion, Fox Run Park was super fun. At first I was freezing when we go off the bus but around lunchtime it started to warm up. All the activities were fun in my opinion and even though it was an educational field trip. The fun activities after the educational ones were a challenge especially if you had difficult team members… Thankfully, I had an awesome team who worked together well. Over all Fox Run Park was a fun experience.

Math!?!?Huh

Article posted September 25, 2011 at 09:55 PM GMT • comment • Reads 1865

The way you are supposed to do the math problem 7/28 is you put 7 outside the house and 28 inside the house like they did in the beginning, but where they went wrong was when he said he was not going to use the two........ YOU HAVE TO USE THE TWO=http://!So since 7 cannot go into two you make it 28 and what is 28 minus twenty eight 0!! So, 7 goes into 28 4 times not like the gentlemen thought in the video.

Scary Sleepover!!1

Article posted September 14, 2011 at 06:03 PM GMT • comment (3) • Reads 1789

I invited my fried over for a sleepover. She came pretty late to my house and it was almost 9:00 pm. So we decided to get ready for bed. We were lying in my bed when I said, “ Hey I know what we can do!” So I got up and went to get my sisters game system so we could take pictures with it. While I was gone to get the game system she said she heard weird noises and when I came back she said she was scared…….. So we started taking pictures anyway and after like an hour or taking pictures we looked through them and deleted the ones we didn’t like but that night I didn’t see anything peculiar in any of the photos. The next morning when my friend had left I went to review the pictures again but in one of the pictures I saw three people instead of one and the third person was a dude and pale white!!! I still have the photo for evidence and ever since then I haven’t touched my sisters game system…… maybe he was a ghost or maybe it was an angel but to this day I haven’t figured out who he is and I don’t recognize him one bit. From now on I sleep with one eye open!

Rachael’s Challenge is a very sensitive subject for most, and I personally feel that the assemblies are necessary to help people look into their lives and make changes for the better. Rachael was a great person and impacted many lives. Some people don’t care, and others just don’t pay attention, but I think that Rachael was a great example for us all and that Rachael’s Challenge is an amazing challenge for everyone.Rachel challenges me to be more compassionate to others.Racheal has impacted me and what I do and say because she lived a short life but impacted many and that is now one of my goals.:)
