The best mystery book I've read would be Hank the Cowdog: The Garbage Monster from Outer Space. I found this book very funny. Plus, I liked how Hank thought the raccoon was a garbage monster. This is my mystery story starter: One lonely night, Joe stood up after waking from a terrible nightmare. In his nightmare his brother was killed. His throat was slit and he died in seconds. Joe went to his brother’s room to find his brother dead. Just like in his nightmare, his throat was slit and he died in seconds. Joe wondered how he could have known how his brother died. He called the police and they found no evidence. No forced entry, no weapon, and no fingerprints. The police left. Joe was so confused and scared he could not sleep.
