My favorite country stat is Scotty McCreery! He won American Idol last season. I love his voice a lot. My favorite song of his is "Write My Number On Your Hand" because he sounds really good in it. I think he is a pretty cute guy. He is only 19 years old and already has cd's coming out. I have his cd "Clear As Day"

My Quote That I Picked!!

Article posted January 20, 2012 at 01:21 AM GMT • comment • Reads 706

This is my quote: "Believe you can and you're halfway there." Theodore Roosevelt. I think it means to keep on going and then you get further in life. This could help because I could push myself harder to work or do something that needs to be done! It could change someone's attitude because they will work hard and believe in themselves. This could make an impact on the world because not a lot of people believe in themselves.

Wiki Reflection!! :)

Article posted January 10, 2012 at 12:09 AM GMT • comment • Reads 809

Well, this big group project I did with my group, it was pretty fun!! It was really easy to work with a group. One of my people in my group from Mrs. G's class, his name is Stefan. He is easy to get a hold of. My group and I did good together, it was easy to comumicate with my goup because I would message them or on our poet's area. Everything went well, but the video didn't work out as my group wanted it to. There is nothing I would change at all!! To try to get everything done, and get the right amount of things they are supposed to put on the poetry site.

Greece!!!!

Article posted December 12, 2011 at 05:19 PM GMT • comment • Reads 1336

What I know about Greece is they use different alphabet with different sounds and ways to pronounce them. They have 24 letters in their alphabet. They are missing just 1. If they add one more to their alphabet, they would have 25 letters just like us Americans. They have a lot of interesting ways to pronounce their alphabet.

What I am doing in Humanities is that my group, Megra has to have the guys escort the girls to the seats. I don't really like doing that to much. I think its kinda akward for us girls. But, on the other hand, I think its pretty fun. So, my group is awesome!

Global Warming!!

Article posted December 1, 2011 at 03:44 AM GMT • comment • Reads 1281

For about 2.5 years the world’s weather has fluctuated, starting from ice ages to warmer climates. In the last century the world’s weather has fluctuated fast, to about 1.1 to 1.5 farinheight. Scientists believe that the world’s weather is rising up from the people’s activity that is making the weather go crazy, that is known by global warming. Industrial activities started factories, power plants & cars burn fossil fuels, such as coal and oil revealing lots of carbondioxied into the atmosphere. Green House gases trap heat near the earth called the "Green House Effect." It starts with the sun and the energy it rates to the earth. Some of the earth collects the heat, and then warms up the earth. Scientists say that 1998 was the warmest year through history, then 2005 coming in 2nd. Green House carbon dioxide and methane their highest level in the past 420,000 years. The Arctic ice is melting, according to NASA studies. The Arctic ice has declined about 10%, in the last 30 years.

Well, I got this information from Mr. Ullrich's blog page, if you want more information about Global Warming go here > www.youtube.com and search Global Warming 101 or just go to here > Mr. Ullrich's blog and click on> Earth is Getting Hotter, is Global Warming our Fault?

Thank you Mr. Ullrich for this information :)

I Got Your Back!!

Article posted November 6, 2011 at 10:10 PM GMT • comment • Reads 140

I am a small and precious child, my dad's been sent to fight.

The only place I'll see his face is in my dreams at night.

He will be gone too many days for my young mind to keep track.

I may be sad, but I am proud.

My daddy's got your back.

I am a caring mother, my son has gone to war.

My mind is filled with worries that I have never known before.

Everyday I try to keep my thoughts from turning black.

I may be scared, but I am proud.

My son has got your back.

I am a strong and loving wife, with a husband soon to go.

There are times I'm terrified in a way most never know.

I bite my lip, and force a smile as I watch my husband pack.

My heart may break, but I am proud.

My husband's got your back.

I am a Soldier, serving proudly... standing tall.

I fight for freedom, yours and mine, by answering this call.

I do my job while knowing, the thanks it sometimes lacks.

Say a prayer that I'll come home,

IT'S ME WHO'S GOT YOUR BACK!!!

Written By: anonymous.

I want to dedicate this to my dad and all the other soldiers who have fought for our country.

Always Remember....!!!!

Article posted October 25, 2011 at 01:52 AM GMT • comment • Reads 1566

Please give me feedback!

My dad was injured in Bagdad. He gothis knee messed up, his back got fractured & now has a metal plate, one of his ear drums blown out & his head shook around. What caused this is the truck he was riding in hit an IED. An IED is a road side bomb. Terrorists put them in the ground, so it can hurt or kill the American Soldiers. My dad was very lucky he wasn’t killed. When he came off of the airplane, he had a cane to help him walk until he could walk on his own. My dad has to always go to the chiropractor for his back. Once in a while, these pieces of sharp metal would come out of his leg(s) because sharp metal was flying around from different things. My dad got a Purple Heart. The Purple Heart stands for, an American Soldiers who got hurt. He got his Purple Heart from one of his commanders. They have to wear their dress uniforms to put their pins/metals on. He already has a lot of pins/metals on his dress uniform. I’m happy to call my dad a hero because he fights for our country. My dad also just recovered from a surgrey on his shoulder, he pulled something & made his shoulder hurt really bad. Now, my dad has to leave for Anchorage, Alaska. He will be gone for 3 years. The really good thing is that we get to go see him. The reason why we all need to remember the veterans is because they had/have served for our country. They have done a very good job because they are helping us & themselves to fight for our/their families. The soldiers usually communicate with their family over emails, video chatting, letters, etc. When my dad was out in Bagdad, he always communicated with us over email. They are always proud of themselves if they save our country and made it through the war. God Bless Our Soldiers!!!

A Smart Motorcycle? Hmm..

Article posted October 20, 2011 at 01:01 AM GMT • comment • Reads 1473

It’s amazing what people can do with their knowledge of technology. I was just watching a video on the CNN Student News website about motorcycles. Motorcycles use to be as simple as taking your average bike and slapping a motor on it, but now there is an invention called the safe motorcycle. It looks like a smart car with only two wheels, runs on electricity, and is able to stay balanced because of a mechanism called a gyroscope, the gyroscope is eight years in the making and allows the motorcycle to always keep its balance when it tilts and leans. The amazing inventor that came up with this invention is Danny Kim. He came up with the idea from his knowledge of vehicles and engineering. Why it is safer that an average motorcycle is that when it takes impact from a car, instead of falling down, it teeters and then regains its balance. I just think this is amazing. If you want to learn more go here, http://www.cnn.com/studentnews/ then watch the video on the top or bottom of the page. I hope you find interest in this topic and oh by the way if you want one, look for it in about five years and it will cost you $16,000.00.

If you want to learn more, go to the cite up there ^ or click here> http://www.cnn.com/studentnews/

About the Blogger
Gian-Luc Jordan, we all miss you so much. Always in the hall, I always heard “hey look, its Gian-Luc.” Everyone in the hall turns and looks & what do you see? Gian-Luc with a big smile on his face. His smile always shined like the sun. I always saw him with his friends laughing, smiling, laughing, anything you could think of. His family dearly loved him. He had a big sister and little siblings. I thought Luca was pretty cool and super nice. He was one of my friends, even though I didn’t get to talk to him much. He had SO much energy around his friends. I always think of him and pray for his family. You were loved so much. I miss you so much Luca.
