Kade's Blog

We are a group of 7th graders from Colorado who want to practice our writing and communication skills. We are excited to expand the walls of our classroom and collaborate with other classes! Please leave us comments and your blog URL, so we can respond back to you!

Greece Greece is a smaller country in southern Europe. It is well known for the thousands of islands in the seas around it. The largest city is also the capital, Athens. The highest mountain in Greece is Mt. Olympus at 9,754ft. Many tourists visit Greece to sight-see the ancient ruins.

In class, we're doing many fun activities. There are a few different city-states, and my group is Corinth. Our job the first day was to create our own handshake, our own chant, and a logo. At the end of each class, we roll two dice which determines our city-state's fate. Some are bad, and some are good. We have to earn points by each roll and the points get combined with each class to make one city-state's amount of points together. But if you get a bad roll, you get points subtracted from the total score of your city-state. This is probably my favorite activity in humanities so far this year.
