Because of spring time the trees in Colorado have been really colorful and the grass has been greener. Colorado is my favorite place to live just for this reason. The one thing I hate though is that the weather can chance within five minutes. Judging by the spring time I can tell that this summer will be one of the most beautiful summers in a wile.

I do not really like the way the book is set up because you never come back to one character twice. The format is weird. I think the big idea is that if a community really comes together and all does there part you can make a big difference. The activity that I liked the most is the one in 2d art where we made seed paper and planted seeds.

World history influenced life our lives today in many ways .my guiding question was how did Ramses II effect life in ancient Egypt. I learned a lot like Ramses II saved Egypt from being taken over three times. He also built many great buildings in Egypt. The most interesting part for me was when I was doing research because I found out all the different facts.
I learned many other things from other projects but all I really did was looked around. There were many other cool things like one kid built an ancient Greece catapult. Another built a bow and arrow. Another built a gladiator shield. There were many cool projects and I enjoyed looking and learning about them all.

The sport monster has:
A basketball for a head
Golf clubs for limbs
Footballs for hands
Golf tees for fingers
Shoulder pads for a chest
And a tackle pad for a stomach
Baseball gloves for feet
And for toes more golf tees.
As you can see this monster is super sporty.

Chicken Wings Anyone? (#13)

We dissected a chicken leg so we could understand the functions of tendons and bones a little better. I thought that it was really interesting because if you pulled on a ligament the leg would move back and fourth. I think that it was worth wile because it is not every day you get to take apart a chicken leg. I learned that every part in an organism works together.

Take Your Pick

I picked the phrase "Believe you can and you're halfway there.” I think it means that if you believe you can do a task you will have the ability to do it no matter what anyone says. It could apply to my life because if I believed I could do half the things that I don’t do I would be a way better student than I am today. If someone does not believe that they can do something tell them the phrase and it will make them feel good about themselves and their abilities to do stuff. If everybody’s mind was set on believing in that phrase them the world would be a place where nothing is impossible.

Greece! It's the Word

I have not learned many things about Greece but I have learned a few things. First of all I learned that women were of less equality than men. I don’t think it should be that way I think that everyone should be equal. Furthermore I have learned that there were competitions that determined ones ranking over the others.
In class we are doing a Greece reenactment was we get to participate in competitions were we rank up our city state. For example my city state is Argos and we are in the lead by couple hundred points.

I am a 7th grader in colorado. My favorite types of things to do are hand out with my friends, play football, play basketball and learn. Of all the classes I would have to say math is my favorite but I think language arts would be my second favorite. I don’t really like school. When I get older I want to be a pro football player or an engineer for NASA. Well that is a few important things to know about me.

The three things that come in mind for me are my family, my houses and my country. I have a very big family which means I always have company. I have three brothers and three sisters but I am the oldest of them all. I also have four parents. I am thankful for my house because I have two and they are both nice houses and they keep me warm in the night. Lastly I am thankful for my country. I am thankful for my country because of all the veterans that served for giving me a life that is free. Three of my four parents are or were in the military and they served for our country and fought to make it safe. Those are the three things that I am thankful for.

It's A Mystery

The best mystery I have ever read is “The Oblong Crate”. This is the best and only mystery I have ever read. I really liked it because it had a lot of suspense. The author did a really good job on writing it that is another reason I like it.
There is a story starter that I think would make a good mystery, it was a dark and stormy night. Wind filled the houses of Baker Street. No one was expecting what was going to happen next when all of the sudden….

I really like blogging and it is something that I would like to keep doing. It has gone pretty good with me, except for a few problems that I had. I think when we do writing assignments it is easier to do it as a blog rather than on paper. I would want to write a mystery story because I like mysteries.

I just read an article about two prisoners from other countries that are scheduled for transfer. These prisoners both have life sentences and are both in for threatening life. To me this is a stupid idea, why would you swap two prisoners that have the same life sentence. And also this process will take a couple months to be completed, why waste your time transferring prisoners when they can just stay in the jail they were originally in. Here is the link to the website: http://old.news.yahoo.com/s/nm/20111018/ts_nm/us_palestinians_israel_prisoners

I have been reading a good book lately and I really am liking it. The book is called Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets by J.K. Rowling. I like that this book has suspense but on the other hand I hate that this book does not have a lot of round characters, almost all the characters are flat. This is a really good book in all.

Fox Run Adventure

I really had fun at the Fox run field trip because I got to hang out with my friends and was outside for a whole day of School! I liked all the lessons we got to do but the one I liked the most was Mr. Howard’s lesson. I liked his the most because it was like a giant game of hide and seek, so that made it really fun. Out of the whole field trip my favorite part was the activities at the end. I liked all the activities but the one I liked the most was Mrs. Lubich’s activity. It was both fun and challenging at the same time because we really had to put our heads together and use teamwork. On the field trip I learned that every living organism needs food, water and shelter to survive, because if it loses even one of those resources it will struggle to live and eventually die.

To Ban or Not To Ban?

I think that many of you can agree with me by saying it is wrong to ban books. I feel mad that the government would try to ban books due to their content. Even things like black magic! This is similar to freedom of speech just freedom to read, if we can say what we want what’s so wrong with reading what we want? I feel that we all have the choice to choose what we read because we live in a country all about independence. Certain books should not be banned from schools because they provide entertainment for kids and adults all around the world. Those are my thoughts on banned books.

Math? Huh?

What I have seen is a guy who thinks 7 goes into 28, 13 times. He thought this because he did all of his math wrong. When they put down 13, 7 times he multiplied 3 by 7 and then added 7 and got 28. He was really dumb to think that.

There is something that happened to me over the summer and it was really scary, so I will tell you about it. I was at my friends house and we were hanging out in the basement when all of the sudden we saw something move. We had no idea what it was since he had no pets of any kind or no siblings. Eventually we decided to see if we could find out what it was. We thought it was a ghost but his mom said we were crazy and seeing stuff. We went and got a night vision thing and it showed a spirit orb. So after that we were determined to find out what it was. To do this we got a camera and changed it to thermal and we saw an outline of a body. In conclusion we knew that we saw a ghost and that his house was haunted.
