Thoughts Written In Stone!

We are a group of 7th graders from Colorado who want to practice our writing and communication skills. We are excited to expand the walls of our classroom and collaborate with other classes! Please leave us comments and your blog URL, so we can respond back to you!

Choices

Choices
Inspired by the book If I Stay by Gayle Forman
What if I had the choice?
What if I had the voice?
Would I live or would I die?
Are the prices way too high?
What would I gain?
What would I lose?
I have the right to choose.
If I stay or if I go.
I am the only one to know.
What would I choose?
What would I lose?
What would it take,
To make this choice I have to make?
What if I had the choice?
What if I had the voice?

Grade 6

Yes I wrote this in 6th grade, but when I heard about this assignment, I just had to choose one of my poems and when I saw this one… well I just had to use it. I have made some 7th grade poems, about three of them in fact, but I didn’t want to share them because they are sorrowful, sort of, and I just thought this one was good. Hope you like it and please do not take this poem. I know how copy and paste works, and since none of my poems are published, yet, except one from 5th grade, I would like to keep my poems as my creation, if you don’t mind.

About the Blogger
I write almost everyday, and would never give it up. My latest story so far that I'm working on is going to be called Wanderer, but it is not even close to being finished and once it is, i still will have to edit it. I have won a novel contest, which I am so excited about because then all i have to do is edit the novel, find an editor and get it published. I hope to grow up to be an author. I like homework and school, but I do not like the stress of it all, which i find kinda strange. I do not work well in groups, all my teachers and close friends know this fact quite well. My nickname in a Manga club that I joined, located at the East Pikes Peak library, is Silence which fits me pretty well.
