The End

It's exiting that it’s the last blog of the year! For me 7th grade went well. I made some new friends and learned a lot. Ill be doing geometry next year and Ill hopefully won't get a C in any of my classes next year. I learned a lot in math (now that I'm actually challenged) and I learned some about cells and the human body in science. One thing of advice I would give to next year's 7th graders is to really stay on top of your deadlines. That's really all I have to say for the rest of the year, it's just wow.

Have a great summer! :3

The learning experience was great. I learned that I don't have to buy stuff to have fun. Plus I got to learn how to make a wallet out of paper. One thing I would change is to maybe decorate the place a little. Like the roof looked kinda ugly with the nails showing and all. It woulld be nice to at least paint that so that it looks better. I really can't decide what the best part was, but it was all very fun, so thats a good thing.

World History Fair

Article posted May 6, 2012 at 11:41 PM GMT • comment • Reads 464

World History influences our lives today by guiding us through the future. If we don't learn from our mistakes from the past we will make the same mistake in the future. My question was: What was the purpose of assassins? I found out that these assassins found that killing someone would make people panic and do something in the favor of these assassins. I think the most interesting part of this project was finding out how these assassins think and leaning from their mistakes.

One project my friend did was on ninjas. I learned that most ninjas aren't really assassins. They are just very skilled distractions. They also had a variety of weapons that they used and they would specialize in that certain weapon.

looking forward to

Article posted April 11, 2012 at 10:28 PM GMT • comment • Reads 78

I'm really looking forward to 8th grade. I'm going to start dating so that should be fun, But one thing I don't get is what I did after I ask a girl out. Another thing is that a lot of things happen in just one week. One of my other goals is to try to understand girls a bit better and to accept what they do. If I start dating I'm going to have to do a lot for my girlfriend and I am completely ready to do that.

Wings

Article posted April 3, 2012 at 11:59 PM GMT • comment • Reads 661

I always enjoy disections. I have done many more before the chicken wing. I've disected a dog shark, frog, cray fish, worm, grass hopper, and some more. I really didn't learn much from the chicken wing because of my other disections but it is neat to see what is in a body and to learn about how it works.

it aplies every day
to do or not to your homework

Micro Science

Article posted February 22, 2012 at 11:22 PM GMT • comment • Reads 588

I've been seeing and learning about the basic structure of a lot of types of cells like bacteria, plant cells, animal cells, and even a little about viruses. The best thing I have done in the class is do a lab were we look through microscopes. We looked at different unicellular and unicellular organisms like some shrimp. The worst part is that we do too much work and too little labs. Most of the time were just sitting and writing all the time and it does not make it much fun. My science journal is almost full were my math journal isn't even half way.

At the door
near the end
by the bright colors
by the happy teacher
under the boreing roof
beyond the many people
before the horizen of the school
by the others
inside the little building
inbetween the two walls
among the children
on top of the floor
before the feeling
with the feeling
at the door

Books

I'm currenty reading the Tunnels series by Rodric Groden and Brian Williams. I'm enjoying it I like the stroy in the first place and there are so many characters. What I don't like is how long it takes to switch characters. It will take a long time to go from character to character. Over all it's a great series and I think a lot more people would enjoy it.

Anything

Article posted February 2, 2012 at 12:26 AM GMT • comment • Reads 624

Well my feelings have not changed much but usually I would complain about the amount of home work I have. I've lately been hearing a lot about life time but it'll pass. What I need to work on is making new friends and looking forward to things, like meeting my friends at school. Personally for me its hard to wake up and look forward to something like school. I'm currently trying to keep my head together and enjoy life to the fullest but it's hard when you've got homework starring you down.

Poetic Effects

Article posted January 23, 2012 at 11:50 PM GMT • comment • Reads 664

This topic is interesting. See different poets use different ways of writing to get their message to you. Some use a lot of words to describe something where others might use more pictures than words and briefly describe with words. Other poets just write small poems and that is just fine. I think I prefer to read the poems that are short and have some pictures. In a poem I look for imaging that creates colors in your head. Like in a poem by Edgar Allen Poe there is a line that says "fairy fruits and flowers." That makes be think of bright colors and my imagination does the rest. That is what I think makes a good poem.

Take your pick

Article posted January 17, 2012 at 11:37 PM GMT • comment • Reads 618

"The important thing is not to stop questioning. Curiosity has its own reason for existing." Albert Einstein

I believe this means that you should never stop learning. And that it's OK to wonder. I could take from this that its ok to ask questions and learn from my mistakes. This can be used to have a positive impact on someone's life by letting them understand that learning is OK. It could impact the world by encouraging the world to learn together. This can be taken very seriously.

This year my goals are to make some new friends. I don't have many friends so I think it would be ok if I make some new friends. I've noticed that I'm not a big risktaker so I'm going to try to talk to new people and make some friends so I am not always lonely.

Other Class's Blogs

Article posted November 30, 2011 at 11:48 PM GMT • comment • Reads 1328

Well I found a blog for "What do you think about 7th grade" from Mrs. Thomassen's class and That made me stop and think. For my experiences I think I'm more comfortable with the school and its people. I've noticed that 7th graders use fowl language more often and that friends are harder to get. The homework quantity is much much more and the days arren't get any shorter.
I still can't belive we have to wake up earlier than in elementary school but I can't change that. Anyway I think this year has been OK so far.

Thanksgiving

Article posted November 16, 2011 at 12:15 AM GMT • comment • Reads 1545

Three things I can think of are my family, my friends, and my country. I'm greatful for my family because they help me through hard chioces and things like that. My family is very positivly connected to each other and we enjoy seeing each other. I'm very greatful for my friends because I don't have many. I think the quality of friends is greater than the number. But still, I only have 4 real friends, one of them doesn't even go to this school. I'm also greatful for my country. My country is free. It takes a lot to truly understand what that means. I love my country, because if I wasn't in this country I could be very miserable. I understand that there are people like that but I am greatful that I'm not.

Always Remember

Article posted October 27, 2011 at 12:02 AM GMT • comment (1) • Reads 1572

I Know that we all can relate to something a veteran did or does. I'm not military but my grandad was. My great grandad was a prisoner of World War 2. I've got at least three good reasons why we should remember our veterans.

(end of introductory)

I would like to know if this was a hooking intro. Please give me your opinion if it was good. I would like to improve.

Books?

Article posted October 11, 2011 at 11:46 PM GMT • comment • Reads 1383

I'm reading a book called deeper. It's the second book in the Tunnels series. I like the problems in the book but one thing I really don't like is how much suspense there is. You will first get hooked in a part of a story and then it will go to another main character and then you'll get hooked there, and then it'll skip to another main character and again and again but then it will back to the first main character and start the cycle all over again. Ugh.

To Ban or Not to Ban?

Article posted September 28, 2011 at 02:48 AM GMT • comment • Reads 1738

I think the banned books week is a great idea. I'm not a big fan of reading (I prefer math and science) but I do know that other people do want to have some freedom to read. I may not know a lot about the kind of books out there but I do know this, when we first became America we wanted freedom. That is was this country is all about. A huge part of that is being able to do what you want without much restrictions, but a part of freedom is freedom of speech, and that includes supporting or going against something or someones idea or choices.

Math?

Article posted September 20, 2011 at 12:44 AM GMT • comment (1) • Reads 1966

Very funny and confusing. Personally, its funny to see some one mess up that bad because I'm at a higher math level than the average 7th grader. But still that does not really make much sense, because 7*4=28, I mean how much more simple can it get from that? So each person should get only 4 donuts. 28 donuts, 7 orders, 28/7=4.

Funniest Thing

Article posted September 13, 2011 at 11:15 PM GMT • comment (1) • Reads 1595

Well, what I think is one of the most weirdest things that has happened to me is my brother. He has his ups and downs but, recently hes been really short tempered. It always seems to be the small things though. Like he would start yelling at me bout this blog and then deny that he was yelling at me for writing about this. There is so much irony involved with my little brother. One funny thing that my brother randomly came up to me and said was "Dogs are part of the Guiana pig family." I mean, where did that come from?

Rachel's Challenge

Article posted September 11, 2011 at 05:07 AM GMT • comment • Reads 1476

I think that Rachel's Challenge really only motivates people for only a day or two, but it is very inspiring in those few days. For example, I had Rachel's challenge during my french period and after the assembly I herd people apologizing to each other about things they have done and about things they might of done.
