I Am

I am a brave hiker climbing Mt.Everest

I wonder whether I will make it to the peak

I hear the snow storm blowing

I see a dead climber and mule frozen in ice

I want to get to the top

I pretend I see the top

I feel the air slowly helping me breath

I touch my gas mask giving me air

I worry I might suffocate

I cry because I am tired from the long climb

I understand that I might not make it to the peak
